BigBox: Can't get videos to play in the background instead of showing the gameplay images

I've gone crazy trying to figure out why videos won't show as the background in the BigBox game menu instead of gameplay image.

I've tried everything I can think of: 

Switched from VLC to WMP

Tried different themes

Tried different views

Verified that I actually have videos

Anything else to try that I might be missing?  I've set this up on another system before and didn't have any issues getting them to show there.

In Big Box System Menu > Options > Video > Show Game Background Videos (or something pretty close to that). Turn it on to show videos playing as the background instead of in the forefront image/video view.

Yep, I have that checked.  I even tried toggling it off and on but it still only shows the gameplay image.

Exactly same problem here since latest upgrade, I cannot see any of the game preview videos, just shows a still picture of each game. I have also noticed that  I do not have the VLC video plugin as an option anymore.

Also having a video problem here.  Preview Vids play fine for Nintendo Gamecube and SNES (in the Colorful theme) but will not play at all for Arcade platform using the Coinops Theme.  Any help would be appreciated, it's driving me nuts!
