Introga Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) After the last update all WHDload Games (zip format) starting with select file Before, everything was working perfect Are there more users with this issue? Edited March 7 by Introga Quote
Ipman559 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 (edited) Same thing is happening when I try to launch Sega Saturn through Retroarch. Can you test that platform and let me know if you’re having the same problem as me? I’ve opened up a thread and contacted support but I’m not getting any help. Much appreciated thanks! (Update: My Sega Saturn problem was solved. I just needed to download a new rom set.) Edited March 20 by Ipman559 My issue although un-related to this thread has been resolved. Quote

I'm not too familiar with Amiga and WHDLoad games. I did do a quick test with WHDLoad files, loading into the puae.libretro core in RetroArch and games did seem to load up just fine. Is this the emulator/core you are using? If so, you may want to go to Tools > Manage > Emulators > RetroArch, check out the Dependency Files section and make sure you have the necessary bios files in there. I did notice that certain games I tried didn't work until the necessary dependency files were present there. Maybe someone else with more WHDLoad Amiga experience could chime in. Quote
Retro Python Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Odd. I've been playing some Amiga lately. I just tried to duplicate your issue and couldn't. I did a fresh install of LaunchBox, copied the LHA over to the Commodore Amiga Directory, added the bios, ran the game with no issue. I also zipped the lha and still didn't have any issues. Which core are you using? Quote
midas Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Out of curiosity, what version did you update from? 13.19? Or an earlier version? Quote
Introga Posted May 1 Author Posted May 1 (edited) @Retro Python I use zipped files, the strange thing is that i didn't change anything other than update Retro station and Launchbox to the newest version and all my 600 games worked fine till one day I wanted to show it to someone and I got this error, It look like a issue with WHDload. I also have Amikit (Best Amiga emulator from this time, and made a update of the program, but so far as I know Launchbox/RetroArch use there own version (I think) I use PUAE Core. Introga Posted May 1 Author Posted May 1 @midas I update every version if there is a new one to install (So not that i missed a version) Quote
Introga Posted May 1 Author Posted May 1 @UnbrokenSoftwareLLC i don't know if there was an update from WHDLoad, all my 600 games where working till one day all games don't work anymore, it's really strange. Same games are working with Amikit and WinUAE Quote
midas Posted May 1 Posted May 1 @Introga Ok. I asked because I'd had a somewhat similar issue (though closer to Ipman559 as it wasn't with Amiga) that was due to having double spaces in the paths of my affected games, but that issue started in 13.15 so if you were working in a version after that, that probably wasn't the case. At any rate, 13.21 resolved that issue. Quote
Introga Posted May 1 Author Posted May 1 Strange thing is that i didn't change the file names, so that can't be the issue Quote

That is, without trying to launch them via LaunchBox. Quote
