DanielHogan Posted Sunday at 07:14 AM Posted Sunday at 07:14 AM after last updated when trying to import a game it not appear , if try again is like is already imported because on the window it non get detected , for make it appear had to change game name , hope can be fixed someway , before it worked fine , tried with some homebrew games on gameboy/gameboy color and nes , also noticed now when importing launchbox asking again for default emulator despite all already configured , i think the new update broke again something with retroarch , maybe a new update will fix these issues , thanks Quote
DanielHogan Posted Sunday at 08:49 AM Author Posted Sunday at 08:49 AM (edited) seems is creating new data xml with as name my roms folder name despite having already also the one named by default as platform , never happened before , i think this why the error happen , i'll attach a screenshot of the data duplicates , before the latest updates even if for example had a gbc folder with gameboy color roms , dragging a rom from the folder to the launchbox window it import without creating new xml and used the correct nintendo gameboy color xml . C-Beats Posted Tuesday at 11:49 AM Posted Tuesday at 11:49 AM I don't believe our scan looks for platform alt names. To correct in your library though go to the platforms with the abbreviations as names. Then change the platform in all those games to the correct one (you can bulk edit this). Then when done with all of those go to Tools > Manage > Platforms. Delete the abbreviation platforms. Then go to the correctly named platform and set the game folder to the folder you want scanned (this one you'll need to do manually for each of the platforms that had the abbreviation versions). Everything should return to normal after that. Quote
DanielHogan Posted Tuesday at 12:21 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 12:21 PM (edited) i just deleted the duplicates with folder names from the data folder but would be nice if newer releases of launchbox revert this change , never happened before that dragging and drop a rom create a new xml with rom folder name , it just imported on the platform chosed , hope it did not broke existing correct platform tho , not had time to try all of them , just tried to importing new games on existing ones before noticed the issue of roms not appearing because of this bug , even reported this on report bug section but not get approved and seems post only appearing to me , thanks ( this bug only happen with retroarch associated games/platform ) Edited Tuesday at 12:37 PM by DanielHogan Quote
