Does anyone do paid custom themes?

I'm looking to have a custom theme built to match the Comic Scrap theme I've been using on Batocera. I'll gladly pay to have the theme made but plan to make it public for everyone once completed.

I do have the ComixBox one already installed, but man it's just not quite there. The comic Scrap one is just so perfect, Especially how when you scroll through games on a list the box cover and a screen shot show instantly,  You can see what the games look like without having to load or wait at all.  That and a few other things make it better...I appreciate you sharing this though, I hope I can find someone who can do this... considering searching on Fiver and seeing if anyone there can do it.

This is totally in my wheelhouse — nothing technically overwhelming here, especially since I’ve already gone way beyond that kind of challenge. Funny thing, it actually reminded me that I once started adapting a project for someone… and in the end, they completely changed direction and switched to an entirely different universe 😄

I’ve already reproduced tons of official publisher collections, down to the smallest detail. I’ve also created brand new ones — and to be honest, I might’ve gone even further than the publishers themselves, lol. I’ve recreated the native interfaces of pretty much every major console, made custom “mini” views, and even developed a standalone “collection” format using the CTC (I’ve done five of those so far).

Yeah, I know — sounds a bit like I just dropped my retro-gaming superhero résumé here 😄 But hey, I always worry about sounding arrogant, yet I’m not going to hide it either. It’s that little spark of creative madness :the drive to push the walls where others just stick posters. That’s the love of the craft right there.

I adapt, I create, I have fun  and it shows. Passion, attention to detail, and the desire to make every pixel shine.

Right now, I’m in “well-deserved break before the next boss fight” mode — just wrapped up a big one.

 

 

Now, it depends on how urgent this is for you, because I promised Exxodus I’d help with his project first. in a free frame here but if you decide to share I don't see why I would make you pay

I don't know, we'll have to see, it depends on the amount of work I imagine,

I haven't evaluated yet. But realistically, this could be done before the end of the year. I’d probably need less than a month for it, honestly.

Either way — if you’ve already found someone, that’s great too 🙂

I mean I'm not in a super rush but I'd hope something like a couple months.

   As I said in my original post I'd be completely thrilled to get an exact replica of the Comic Scrap theme that's available on Batocera.   Comic box is ok, but there's a few things it falls very short on when compared to Scrap. For one... the aspect ratio doesn't seem to work well with my square monitor with box, but with scrap it's perfect on either square or a regular tv or computer monitor... it just resizes itself perfectly.  Second,, when scrolling through games on Scrap you get instantaneous screen shot of the game and the game cover, so you can quiclky scan through games to see if it looks interesting enough to play... but with box, it takes like a second or 2 to load the image.  

   Im not sure what the budget would be for this project but I would love to just support it myself and i'd be perfectly fine with making it available for free to the masses....BigBox NEEDS this theme.
