damaine21 Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Hello, I am a new user of LaunchBox, and just installed the app on my Windows 11 PC. It appears to have installed without any issues at all, but it will not launch at all. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, but have had no luck. I also tried launching it from the start menu, the exe in the 'LaunchBox' directory, and the exe in the 'Core' directory. No errors appear. It also disappears quickly from the task manager after launch. Any help would be appreciated! Quote

Please verify this hasn't happened. You can also look in Windows Event Viewer's application logs for a .NET Runtime Error error log. There could be one in there that says LaunchBox crashed, along with a second log entry that has the actual error and stack trace saying why. Quote
damaine21 Posted April 15 Author Posted April 15 (edited) Thanks so much for your response. I don't believe that my antivirus quarantined anything. (I didn't see anything listed there). But I did find the stack trace: Quote Application: LaunchBox.exe CoreCLR Version: 9.0.225.6610 .NET Version: 9.0.2 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Exception Info: System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (5): Access is denied. at System.Diagnostics.ProcessManager.OpenProcess(Int32 processId, Int32 access, Boolean throwIfExited) at System.Diagnostics.Process.GetProcessHandle(Int32 access, Boolean throwIfExited) at System.Diagnostics.Process.WaitForExitCore(Int32 milliseconds) at Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.Desktop.Program.Main(String[] args) Edited April 15 by damaine21 Quote
damaine21 Posted April 16 Author Posted April 16 If I do not run as administrator, the Process appears and disappears from my Task Manager very quickly. -------------------------- I have discovered that if I run the app as an administrator, then the Process stays in my Task Manager. Then when I go to Details in Task Manager, i see two entries of Launchbox. One is running, and the other is suspended. If I kill the suspended task, Launchbox will actually launch as intended. -------------------------- Any ideas on how I can resolve this? Any help would be appreciated! ☺️ Quote
