Extremely weird issue - disappearing games, with some metadata that's left behind?

I've tried to report this issue before, but not one solution has worked yet:

I've added a bunch of japanese indie games one day, and all but two has simply disappeared when I reopened launchbox later.

Now, I wanted to maybe retrace what part of the metadata has caused this error, so I decided to go step by step, and just add one of the games as just a name, and no other metadata, and slowly filling out the lines and pages one by one, quitting ad realoading the program in between...

But when I created the launcher for the program that supposed to have nothing but the title, it also had all the images I used before, when I added the game first. And when I reopen launchbox, It was gone again.
Anyone knows what's going on here?
Can I remove a game permanently with all its metadata and images?

Is it possible to fix this issue?

Disappearing games almost always is one of two things.

1) You have files in your data folder that don't belong. Look in \\LaunchBox\Data\Platforms and ensure there is one file per platform in there and no backup files being kept there.
2) You have an auto-hide feature enabled. Go to the View > Show/Hide menu to verify.
