House Posted Thursday at 08:15 PM Posted Thursday at 08:15 PM Okay, usually I can figure this out. But not this time, so I need some help. I must be over looking something. I have a 4 monitor system running win11. Launch Box and Big Box work great. When running mame games they open on the correct monitor.....Except 2. They are both games that use the mouse. SW and MC. No idea if that matters cause SW,ESB. opens on correct monitor. I feel I have tried every combination in the .ini file. Does anyone have an idea. Feel like its gonna be a simple mistake. But so far only 2 games go to the wrong monitor out of a few hundred. Quote
Solution JoeViking245 Posted Thursday at 09:17 PM Solution Posted Thursday at 09:17 PM No idea what "SW and MC" and "SW,ESB" are. If they're arcade machines, check if there's a "SW and MC".ini file or "SW,ESB".ini file. Of course, replace you acronyms with the ROMs' name. Or look for an ini file named after those machines BIOS name or parent system. If the machines use the same monitor type atypical to most games, look for their monitor type .ini file (vector, raster, lcd...) Whatever may be in those would override what's in mame.ini. Quote
House Posted Thursday at 09:24 PM Author Posted Thursday at 09:24 PM (edited) @JoeViking245 Sorry for the confusion. I didn't want to post game titles. Wasn't sure what the rules were about that. But i checked for their own ini file. and none was present. When I go into the vector or raster files. I don't see a monitor line. Or would I have to add it manually? ........................... Going back i found the ini files for each game. Its in the core directory not in the ini folder like I thought. That was the issue. Thank you. Game ini file was over writing the default. Thanks again. Edited Thursday at 09:34 PM by House 1 Quote
