kbarcade2 Posted Thursday at 07:13 AM Posted Thursday at 07:13 AM I am attempting to setup Launchbox on a brand new Windows 11 PC (Beelink Mini PC with an AMD Ryzen 7). I downloaded the installer and completed the setup with all the default settings (saved to user folder) successfully. But when I go to the Launchbox folder and try to open LaunchBox.exe or BigBox.exe, I see a loading spinner for a second, and then... nothing. When I look in the task manager or the system tray, there's no sign of Launchbox having ever launched. I've reinstalled over the location, uninstalled and reinstalled, attempted to "run as administrator" but still the same result. Am I missing a prerequisite? Quote
C-Beats Posted Thursday at 01:20 PM Posted Thursday at 01:20 PM Would depend on the version but installer should be installing all the pre-reqs. Direct X Runtimes, .NET 9.0 Desktop Runtime, .NET Core 3.1 Desktop runtime. If you open Windows Event Viewer and go into the application section there should be error logs in there that say ".NET Runtime Error" and point to LB failing. One will just be a "something went wrong" message and the other will have the actual error message. If you can get the one with the error message it'd help us track down what was happening. Quote
