trueanimus Posted Tuesday at 10:29 AM Posted Tuesday at 10:29 AM (edited) Hi guys.. wondering if this is a bug or if i am doing something wrong. I am trying to set up a platform for light gun games, so that i dont have to have playlists under each orginal platform. I added a "platform" named Light Gun Games. next i went to Nintendo NES and went through and selected all the gun games and placed them in a playlist called NES (so that i can divide it per system in the light guns game platform since i have to turn on the dolpin bar etc).. all the games in one list you know.. while i have the gun turned on) i did the same for PS1 (naming the playlist PSX) and for Arcade (just naming the playlist Arcade) Now I made a note on a text file and dragged it into the Light Games platform, making sure to use "none of the above" so when clicked it pops up in notepad (thinking maybe it needed at least one anchor icon. Next i went to the playlists.. and changed the parent from root to Light Gun Games platform... about the second or third one that i move to the Light gun games platform..... The Platform deletes its self and disappears... and the playlists go back to the root, Is this a bug or what am i doing wrong? I have made multiple platforms before and this always worked... Example.. i have a Comic Books Platform with about 400 playlists in it, one for each comic book style or whatever... spiderman, spiderman 2099 series etc... worked great. C-Beats Posted Tuesday at 12:48 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:48 PM Not ever heard of this being report. If not already turn on logging and we can see if sheds any light as to what is happening. Generally speaking something like that points to the inability to save the XML files to the data folder correctly. Happens a lot when you have any sort of syncing software running against the folder while the app is running (things like DropSync and OneDrive) Quote
trueanimus Posted Tuesday at 07:27 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 07:27 PM I finally got it to work... i dont really know what i did but its finally working. I dont have onefile or any sync running on the arcade btw. i think it may have been that i was naming the arcade gun section arcade... and theres a platform named that .... maybe...? anyway.. i named the arcade light gun section arcade gun, and it worked and saved the playlists without deleting. I will report if it happens again or disappears again. Quote
