big box crashes?

i see the BB flash, the voice over, then hangs on black screen. any thoughts?

just place that font in the directory it is referring to

views/launchbox_theme_folder/fonts/

Are you using a custom theme? Cause the redhatdisplay is part of the 'Default' theme and should be in following directory

[YOURDRIVE]:\Launchbox\Themes\Default\Fonts

So if you are using a custom theme,...copy those fonts over to your custom theme.

thanks for the reply!  no custom theme, i cant even get into BB to select a theme.  nor do I have this folder:  views/launchbox_theme_folder/fonts/

i created those folders, dropped the font in there, still nothing...

will LB update itself if i do a reinstall or, will it overwrite everything that i've done so far

what is in your BigBoxSettings.xml?

That should show then that you are using the Default theme.

Mine shows this.

    <Theme>Unified &amp; Ultrawide</Theme>

have u tried changing that to some other theme? See if that makes a difference?
For instance RetroFresh Detailed or any other BB theme

If any other theme does work, then maybe something is indeed wrong with your files.

LB doesn't overwrite everything u did if you update it or do a reinstall.
If that is a concern...u can always just install it to a temp directory and move over the files to your current install.

ok, weirdness, it started working again...  it takes a 30-40 seconds to boot up (mini pc) but at least it's working
