boy Posted August 13 Posted August 13 When I run Sammy Atomiswave or Sega Naomi game on Launchbox with RetroArch, it gives me an error code. However, when I run Deamcast on Launchbox with RetroArch, there is no problem. They both use the flycast_libretro.dll kernel. What is the problem? Quote
launchretrogirl2562 Posted August 13 Posted August 13 flycast core is very finicky and once u find one that works for most your sammy or sega naomi games, u would be advised to lock that core and make a backup of it. For Sammy Atomiswave I use the reicast_libreto core. All my games work with that core. For Sega Naomi I don't think I am using the latest flycast core cause I had issues when updating my cores. I can send u mine, u can try if it makes any difference. Quote
launchretrogirl2562 Posted August 13 Posted August 13 and check your bios files in Retroarch. When u are running a dreamcast game which works with flycast. Then hit F1 to go into the menu. Get to main menu -> Information -> Core information make sure all bios are present and have a checkmark (meaning they have the proper md5 hash) Quote
boy Posted August 13 Author Posted August 13 First of all, thank you for your reply. The core BIOS should be complete. It's strange that when I run Sammy Atomiswave or Sega Naomi games with RetroArch, they run fine without any problems, but there are problems in Launchbox. I will try the core you provided. Thank you. 1 Quote
launchretrogirl2562 Posted August 13 Posted August 13 (edited) then you are passing something to retroarch which conflicts with it's working. Cause the error you are seeing isn't being thrown by Launchbox, it is thrown by retroarch. These are the settings I have for retroarch. And for Sega Naomi and Sammy...I do not extract roms My sammy games are already extraced and are lst and bin files My sega Naomi games are all in chd format Yours could be zipped of course but that shouldn't be a problem. Solution boy Posted August 13 Author Solution Posted August 13 Remove the check mark from extract rom archives before running and the problem is solved. Thank you Quote
launchretrogirl2562 Posted August 13 Posted August 13 glad to have helped. It sometimes takes just a small little thing. 1 Quote
