ilcomandantecobra Posted September 2 Posted September 2 (edited) Sorry if this is not the right forum, as i don't know if this is already a feature or not. I can move it to another forum if needed. Also, i'm talking about BigBox, and this is a Launchbox subforum. I know this is possible by using custom platforms and playlists, but that doesn't cover the use case i'm proposing, and it is quite long to setup. My idea is that once i'm browsing whatever set of games and i select a game that is considered a container, i could access subfolders (like "Hacks", "Translations", "Versions" etc). Example: Browsing Nes (platform) -> Super Mario Bros 3 -> once selected i don't get the game page but instead another page that lets me run the main game or access subfolders/subplaylists Is it possible already somehow? Is it possible by coding? Edited September 2 by ilcomandantecobra Clarifications and excuses Quote

You can combine games together in LaunchBox and give each version you have a custom name. Then in Big Box, you can click on a game to get to the game menu and then click on the "Launch Version" button and get presented with all of your different game versions. So it would be a list like: Hack 1 Hack 2 Translation V1 V2 USA Whatever you want to call it You select the version and it launches into the emulator and you play. Quote
ilcomandantecobra Posted September 6 Author Posted September 6 Hello Faeran, thanks for the response. I'm actually using it the way you suggested but it lacks the "dignity" some romhacks deserve and can't handle other media. I also have many game guides in pdf that would have been cool to integrate in a single view/space. For some games i've created custom categories and playlists to match the kind of integration i'm looking for, but of course they don't fit in the normal browsing of roms. Maybe i'll propose this feature in the appropriate forum, having a container view to merge multiple kind of media and have subfolders. Quote
