lorenzoG Posted yesterday at 12:22 PM Posted yesterday at 12:22 PM Hoping to get some help. I just installed the newest version of launchbox on my PC. I used the Mame installation Guide and everything installed well and I tried playing a few game to test and everything worked fine. The next day I tried playing some games and none will load. The screen just flashes quick and nothing happens. I tried this with multiple mame games. I also installed duckstation with some playstaion 1 games and those work fine. If anyone can shed some light on this as I am very new to all of this. Thanks in advance! Quote
JoeViking245 Posted yesterday at 12:35 PM Posted yesterday at 12:35 PM On "the next day", did you try a game that had worked the previous day? If the previous days' games still work, my shooting-from-the-hip guess is the next day's game(s) might be ones that require CHD's. To better help you, can you please share some screenshots of how it's setup in LaunchBox (see below)? Also, what version of MAME and its ROM set you are using? Edit your MAME emulator [in LaunchBox] and show screenshots of - the Main Details section - the Associated Platforms section Edit one of your Arcade games [that doesn't work] and show screenshots of - the main Metadata section - the Launching section - the Emulation section Quote

The only thing I can't verify is.... Double check that the games ROM file path is for-sure correct. Can click the Browse button, it should take you to that folder, find and double-click dkong.zip to set (re-set) the path. Click OK to save and close and then try the game. If it still doesn't work, you can install this plugin, run it on the game and see if it shows any incriminating symptoms. Quote
lorenzoG Posted yesterday at 06:20 PM Author Posted yesterday at 06:20 PM Ok from your response photo I can see that the path is not correct. All of my games are pointing to an external drive which is the D drive. Is there a simple way to change the path to point to where the games should be. I dont keep that external drive connected which is why it stopped working!!!! I thought during the installation process it asked me to copy all of the roms over to launchbox but Im not sure why the path is still pointing to that D drive. Quote
