retroarch c64

i think i set everything up right,  "back" set as swap joystick, LB set to show keyboard.  yet they dont seem to work!  other specific controls i set up are working just fine. 

can anyone replicate?  it's teh last button i need to set up before handing this machine off

can't help here. Do not have c64 set up in retroarch as I am using zombeavers C64 dreams collection.
Maybe u can check that one out how he configured his controllers.

For now, I can only share his remaps folder. Maybe it can help, not sure??

found the issue on this board...  in case anyone else is banging their head, change the controller type from joystick back to retropad
