torgojones Posted Sunday at 12:05 PM Posted Sunday at 12:05 PM I woke up this morning to find that LB will not stay open for very long after trying to navigate through some of the platforms and games. I tried restoring to a couple of days ago using a backup but the error message keeps happening. I have uninstalled any games that I have imported over the last day as well as forced an update of the database yet the error keeps happening. I have changed from the Neon theme to the Default Plus theme and it did not help. I have attached a screenshot of the error that I am getting. Thank you! Quote
Solution JoeViking245 Posted Sunday at 12:55 PM Solution Posted Sunday at 12:55 PM Try.... under Tools < Options < Visuals < Game Details, un-check: Possible Ports Recommended Games Similar Games 1 Quote

Update: LaunchBox staff have narrowed this down to a possible ill-entered entry in the database. A "Date" more specifically in one (or more) of the games. (If you so desire) you can (re)enable the Possible Ports, Recommended Games and Similar Games under Tools < Options < Visuals < Game Details. The [temporary] updated fix is to un-check Include games not in my library under Tools < Options < Related Games for each of the 3 subsets. Similar Games, Recommended Games and Possible Ports. Thanks for your patience and understanding. 1 1 Quote
Spydey Posted Sunday at 03:07 PM Posted Sunday at 03:07 PM Thank you! I've experienced the exact same thing after updating to version 13.24. 1 Quote

Thanks for your patience and understanding. Thank you for looking into it. I have re-enabled the previously disabled settings, as well as unchecked the "include games not in my library" option for all three options and everything is still running well. I am open to test anything else if needed, otherwise I'll leave it as is. Thanks again! 1 Quote
JoeViking245 Posted Sunday at 11:39 PM Posted Sunday at 11:39 PM The issue has been internally resolved. On your end, you will 1st need to force update your local database. Go to Tools < Download and select Force Update Games Database Metadata... Once done, you can undo any temporary fixes put in place and get back to enjoying your collection. 😎 @torgojones @Spydey @kb72 @Gaming.Zone 2 Quote
torgojones Posted yesterday at 01:11 AM Author Posted yesterday at 01:11 AM All of my previous temp fixes have been reverted after doing a forced update of the db metadata and all is well. Thank you @JoeViking245 and to everyone involved in getting the fix implemented so quickly. 🕹️ 1 Quote
