Unable to download metadata update

I'm getting this error when trying to update metadata: "Unable to download the updated metadata: The downloaded metadata archive failed verification."

 

Also, under storefronts, the Microsoft store does not let me log in.  Ocassionally it comes up with a login screen, but then it disappears and stays logged out.

Try force downloading the update.   Tools < Download < Force Update Games Database Metadata...
