Gab Power Posted December 28, 2025 Posted December 28, 2025 I've been having this problem for a few months now that the "Last Played" and "Game Time" fields are not updating after playing a game. They show for a few seconds but revert to empty fields automaticaly. I think this started when the new Game Progress system was implanted (13.22 maybe?) Even clicking Edit on a previously played game from years ago erases its recorded play time. The Star Ratings are still syncing and stay after restarting. I can't find any options that would cause such a behavior and I believe this happens accros multiple PCs with the synced online database. Any idea where to look for trouble-shooting? Quote
flunkhaus Posted December 29, 2025 Posted December 29, 2025 I've always had a lot of trouble with the time tracking/last played fields, so I just don't rely on them at all. An example I just had was a game that I had set as "In Progress" and then moved to one of the "Completed" options. It went from seeming to track my playtime fairly accurately actually while In Progress, around 18 total hours for a game, but when I changed it to Completed all the game time went down to zero and it's acting like I've never even played the game. AstroBob Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Hi Folks, Thanks for the reports here. We're working to try and nail this down, but it's a bit elusive since we're not able to get a solid repro on this. Are any of you able to consistently reproduce what actions make these values reset back to 0? If so, could you please DM me a copy of your data files with instructions, as I'd love to try and get to the bottom of this. Cheers, Quote
cruisechaser Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Apologies if this counts as a necro, but I just started having this issue in the last day or two. I noticed last night while playing Red Rescue Team. When I enter a dungeon that requires quicksaving, I usually make a backup of my last save using Launchbox's built-in save backup feature in the Edit menu. Last night, I realized that when I did this, it was clearing my "Last Played," showing as if I'd never opened the game at all. I'm not positive how long this has been going on, but it's a fairly recent issue, as I frequently sort by "Last Played" so I don't forget about titles that I want to come back to but haven't touched in a few days. @AstroBob, If your offer still stands, I could attempt to help you pin this down. Gab Power Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago If it can help you AstroBob, last night I was without internet and all my playtimes registered OK in Launchbox and are still present today. If I restart the same game now with internet as I did yesterday without internet, the game keeps its playtime data. If I start a brand new game today with internet, the same behavior as before happens : it looses its play time data. I have a feeling this has to do with the Cloud Sync feature. Quote
