CarnEvil not launching (Newbie here)

Hello, I'm new to MAME emulation and also to using Launchbox. I just followed the installation tutorials, and everything seems to work correctly; several games are running, but specifically the one I want to play isn't working, which is CarnEvil. I've already checked that it's on ROM Set 0.284, and it appears in the Launchbox list (with images and everything), but when I click to play, the cursor changes as if it's loading, the screen flickers, and then returns to the Launchbox screen. Furthermore, I can't play the games that open because neither my keyboard nor my DualShock 4 controller responds.

Most likely you don't have the [also] required CHD file for it, or MAME can't "find it" when launching.

When a game is loaded, can you press "5" on the keyboard to 'load a coin'?  Then press "1" to start the game?

Didnt know that, i just found where i can get CHD files, what i do to them?

Also, i tried to open Galaga and before to see game screen itself i saw a lot of artifacts:

Hey, i put CHD folder in my games > MAME folder and now my Carnevil Opens, thanks! But geez, 1TB of CHD files, im gonna keep only with Full Set and when a game dont launch i get its CHD individualy

Also, still have the artifact/controller problems

But, in Carnevil if i press arrow keys of WASD i see an Aim at the screen, so something is working

Good choice.  

Note, as of release 0.284:

• There are 644 MAME Arcade CHDs
• Of those, 361 are Parent ROMs
• Of the 361, only 57 are considered "Working"

That said, I recommend always checking the Arcade Database first before messing with CHDs.
