TopGunBass Posted yesterday at 05:06 AM Posted yesterday at 05:06 AM In launch box how can I stop launch box from automatically downloading meta data for any platform? Example in LB i have atari platform selected and the box art images are there for the games. LB will automatically start refreshing and try to download meta data, blue bar across the top of the screen. I don't want this to happen. Is there a way to stop this. Thanks. Quote

Pretty sure that's not downloading anything. Unless you've added new ROMs to the platforms folder and it's imported those and downloading metadata/images for those new ones. Most likely what you see is LaunchBox updating the cache for the images. Still. nothing being downloaded. Quote
TopGunBass Posted 17 hours ago Author Posted 17 hours ago Example let's say for a platform I have 10 images for 10 games. After LB refreshes there will be like 20 images, but there actually won't be an image just a name associated to a game rom with a blank image. In all cases I have not added any new roms. I just need it to stop somehow. Its a major pain. Quote

After LB refreshes there will be like 20 images, 20 "images"? Or 20 "games"? If the latter, it's auto-importing files/games that are in the platforms' Games/ROMs folder that aren't in your collection. You can disable the Auto-Import feature globally under Tools < Options < General < Automated Imports. Or you can do it per-platform by right-clicking the Platform in the left panel and select Edit. Check the box Disable ROM Auto-Import. Details about the Auto Import feature can be found here: Automated ROM Imports - LaunchBox If I totally misunderstood, can you share some screenshots of what you're referring to? Quote
TopGunBass Posted 10 hours ago Author Posted 10 hours ago I disabled the auto import globally and that seems to have solved my issue. Thanks for your help. 1 Quote
