mind blown, crazy rom set

So confused!  Thanks in advance everyone!

Brand new and I'm trying to set  up a mame fullset 0.285  in launch box.  I have downloaded the non merged zip from github mirror site for pleasuredome.   I realzie these are rorrent files so I used trrntzipUI.net to get them back to regular zip file (I think, first time using that utility.)   I have put that file and copies into various directories:  in my mame rom, in launchbox , etc.   When I   select arcade and browse for the roms, I have tried 3-4 different locations and I still get this screen as attached.  Not sure what exactly I'm doing wrong.  Been at this for more than 10 hours total over 4 days.  I did manage to upload a frogger rom set via the IMPORT ROM files dialogue.  It shows up in BIGBOx and attempts to load. Also tried using mame by itself command line, I point towards the zipped frogger rom...it gives me a bab boy dialogue about not finding directx 9 3d.  I tried to rectify that, but stil doesnt run from the command line.  I'm trying to follow the pinned instructions on launch box to a tee...  but it says to put your non merged roms into where ever (I forget now....so tired!)  and it still gives me the attached image result.  I'm not sure if I'm putting the correct regular zip rom set into the correct directory...or if its actually still tz zipped?  (Properties just says zip file.)  I've got a tankstick vr setup I haven't even used once in a month!   Any help or a link to a very exacting file would be greatly appreciated.  I'm sure its something simple...its gotta be!

The Full Set link on PD Git is actually a "magnet" that will attempt to redirect the download to your installed torrent client (downloader) app.  Many people use qBittorrent.  Not familiar with the one you mentioned.  You will be asked to click OK to have it direct the torrent to you client.

You client will download the plethora of .zip files into the folder you tell it to.  When 100% done, close your client then either keep that folder of ROMs (zip files) where it's at or move it to wherever you want.

Then in the Import MAME Arcade Full Set Wizard, Browse to that folder containing the ROMs your client downloaded for you.  (For reference, the non-merged set should contain close to 42,000 zip files)

Thank you very much!  ok your directions seem really clear.  I will try to download qbittorrent tonight and see how it goes.  Anything I should be awre of regarding torrents?  Is it easy to get my resources attacked or anything?  I can't do a VPN but are there other protection tools out there I should be using?   I appreciate your hep!

Just Do It™  

Over the last 8+ years of playing with this, never had an issue.  No VPN. Just MS Defender.  No more. No less.

That said, "stuff" happens.  And maybe I've just been lucky (but don't think that's the case. ).
