DRS_4 Posted April 29 Posted April 29 Hi, Although i am a relatively experienced user of front ends for my arcade machines i recently decided to upgrade one of them to Bigbox. The idea was to have an arcade machine that plays the full mame set and also a small selection of 8 bit consoles. Within Launchbox i have created two categories, Arcade and Consoles, and within them i have two platforms each as follows, Arcade (Category) Classic Arcade Playlists (The standard generated ones, 2-Player etc..etc..) Teknoparrot Playlists Consoles (Category) NES Playlists Master System Playlists My question is can this hierarchy be represented in Bigbox? By that i mean my start up wheel would have the two category choices (Arcade or Consoles). The next wheel would then have my platforms related to the previously chosen Category. Then a third wheel would have the related Playlists, and then finally the games. What i am finding is (im using Unified Redux by the way) there seems to be only 2 levels of wheels with playlists sometimes appearing with platforms or not appearing at all (depending on how i have been fiddling around in Launchbox). Is it possible to achieve what i require in Bigbox or is this a limitation of the system? To me this seems like it would be quite a common requirement so apologies if this has been asked before. Thanks in advance for any help, Darren Quote
Solution skizzosjt Posted April 29 Solution Posted April 29 yea you set Big Box to default to "platform categories" it will be in Big Box options menu Quote
DRS_4 Posted April 29 Author Posted April 29 Hi, I had tried this before and it didn't seem to work, however i give it another try just now and amazingly it worked! I have absolutely no idea what i have done in between then and now for it to make a difference. Thank you so much for your reply, if you hadn't sent it i don't think i would have ever tried it again.
