Sega Genesis missing a lot of United States box art.

This is the first time I've seen this happen before, doing a new setup recently and there seems to be tons of North American/USA box art missing from Sega Genesis when I scrape. I got around the worst of it by unchecking the Launchbox database and just using Emumovies but I still had to manually fix about 20 games. I can't seem to recall running into this before, I've been using Launchbox since it first came out. Region priority confirmed USA, then North America. Is artwork just missing or could it be due to a recent update? Or am I just crazy?

And it looks like the same thing is happening with Game Gear games. This is so weird, is there a database issue?

One thing you can do to check is to click the LaunchBox Games Database icon in the games Details panel (or edit the game and click on the LaunchBox DB ID link in the upper right corner).  Then see in the online database does have (or not have) N. America images for the image type you're looking for, for that game.

Sounds like (an assumption on my part) you're seeing this when importing new games.  Is it downloading images for other regions [instead]? Or just none at all [for that selected image type]? 

(for the purpose if troubleshooting) If you subsequently run Tools - Download - Update Metadata and Media for Selected Games, do you see the same issue?

Yes, I did all of that, I was having the same issue. When I checked the artwork on the Launchbox database website the North American box art was sitting right there, it either didn't download or was prioritizing European artwork over North American. Very strange, I have my setup how I like it now but really weird, that's never happened to me before.
