SolarisSpell Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Hello I’m trying to keep my play statistics synced in the cloud so they update across several devices, but I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. When I enable the sync option, some games get overwritten and my play time is removed. I try to use the option to manually sync my collection, but that takes me to the website where I can see my games, but not my play times, so I don’t know whether I’m updating the information or whether it has old, invalid data. Right now I’ve deleted the new LaunchBox installation so I can reinstall and configure everything from scratch, but I wanted to ask first to make sure I do this properly. I’m worried that it may overwrite another game without me noticing and, over time, I could lose information and history. How can I check or update the information uploaded to the cloud? If there is a way to access that information, besides reviewing everything, I could also check that it is updating correctly when I install it on a new device. Thanks Quote

Complete clean reinstalls and even clearing my collection from the LaunchBox database so it would show I had nothing. Even so, when I run LaunchBox again with my correct local stats, re-enable cloud sync, and even perform a manual sync... Afterward, when I connect to the cloud stats on the new device, it immediately overwrites my recent playtimes, as if it has old, outdated stats saved. Why aren't my actual stats syncing? Why is it overwriting them with old data? Is there any way to check the information in the cloud, update it, or completely wipe it out? Thanks Quote
AstroBob Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Hey @SolarisSpell sorry for the issue here, you're not alone in that we have seen instances where the local stats and cloud stats can get out of whack, which unfortunately means why you try to hook them up again, the cloud stats constantly take president, which is sounds like what is happening here. We don't have a great user-facing workaround for this at the moment, though do have a request to allow users to clear their own cloud stats, and esentially start with a fresh sync from their local data. - https://feedback.launchbox.gg/p/reset-clear-cloud-game-statistics In the meantime though, if you want to DM me with your games DB account email, we can try clearing the cloud stats on your account from our end, which should allow you to do a fresh sync.
