BigBox - missing pane data/image/video in game view

I'm updating a 15 year old cabinet that was running the MaLa frontend for MAME 0.139. I settled on LaunchBox/BigBox after fighting with controller & keyboard configuration in Batocera.   So.... I'm very much a LaunchBox/BigBox noob.

Is there a series of still images or text info anywhere that show what each of the default theme views contain?  The videos I've found all seem to navigate through views haphazardly and  when I run into something like I'm asking below, I have no idea what's missing.

What should be in the pane I have highlighted in the attached image?   It doesn't contain anything for any game, in any view, I select. AFAIK, I've downloaded all media resources for the playlist (including emumovies videos) for the games I select.

I poked around in the settings and found that I had Options > Images > Game Image Type set to 'Steam Banner'.  I changed it to something more appropriate and the pane in question populated. 

 

I obviously don't have a good grasp on how the Options are organized.  I guess I'll have to mess around with them to get more comfortable with them.
