2 Issues with recently played game selection

Hey guys, 

I am customising the amazing Slipstream theme on the latest available CTC version, and have 2 issues:

1. I can't get the selection box border at the bottom of boxes no matter what I do (bottom margin, reducing box scale etc) and in CTC it looks perfectly fine. This is highlighted in red.

2. The behaviour works very inconsitently, so I need to hit right key to enable the selection box, but often it won't highlight anything until I press the down key (up will move 1 platform up), however after hitting it, I can see it did register the number of right key hits before that, so selection is working but the selection box is not displaying until I hit the down key.
