2048 error on Retroarch

i am getting error 2048 i cant open any games i can add printscreen for anything i am beginner user for  mame emulators help please

That error is usually because RetroArch can't find the ROM or it's assigned the wrong core.

It's highly recommended to use the stand-alone MAME emulator for Arcade.  You can go to Tools - Manage - Emulators - Add new emulator and select MAME.  You can read more about it here:

my problem just for change emulator from retroarch to mame app? also i cant open mame0288b_x64.exe

Hopefully.   After you add the MAME emulator to LaunchBox and click "OK" to save it, LaunchBox will pop up a message window asking if you want to make MAME the default emulator for "Arcade". (the answer is Yes).

? What happens when you double-click the file in Windows Explorer?   It's a self-extracting exe file that when opened should ask you where you want to extract the files to. 

Alternately, you can open the file as a zip archive (which will then show you the contents if the zip file) and then copy the contents of the zip to wherever you want?  But double-clicking it and telling it where to extract the files is easier for most users.

thank you so much for help i opened different mame version its ok now but how to match launcbox and retroarch together can you help me please

I have never attempted to (and never will) run MAME via RetroArch.  So, it's not that I won't, but that I can't be of any help with that.

Hopefully someone who does run MAME via RetroArch can chime in and offer some guidance.

 

For them to help you, you might want to elaborate on what you mean by "how to match launcbox and retroarch together".  It may also be helpful to provide them some screenshots of your settings.

In LaunchBox, edit your RetroArch emulator and provide a screenshot of:

• the main Details section
• the Associated Platforms section [that shows the platform you're trying to associate to]

i tried everything almost but 2048 error zip again
