Has anyone successfully made an android setup for their car screen?

Even on nes mine plays ok but audio is bad.

8 core android 16, 9 inch screen.

I tried on my bmw m3 aftermarket eonon android head (unit 8 core 9 inch), but unfortunately any systems n64 and above lag pretty badly. So I just gave up and used xbox live to stream games a few times which worked. I doubt those little android boxes that work through android auto would work much better.
