Bezels not appearing

I am using Retroarch with the FBNeo core.

I have downloaded the bezels through Launchbox and it appears that it is downloading, I get a success message but I do not see them in RetroArch\overlays\.

When I turn on overlays in RA there is a small dark area across the bottom of the screen that looks like it is trying to do something but I would not call it a bezel or an overlay.

I can use the existing RA CRT (the one that just looks like a generic black frame) bezels ok. But the per game artwork is not showing.

I am using the CRT Royale shader, does that have any effect on overlays?

 

Where should I look to try and get these working?

Is it working (bezels get downloaded and show) for other platforms? 

If you're on version 13.27, there was a bug with the download procedure. And if so, you can roll back to v13.26 [where it last worked], hop onto the 13.28 beta release (where it's been fixed), or wait until the official v13.28 is released (I'm not of the ETA for that release).

No, but the other media like logo and screenshot is working for other roms.

I currently only have the single platform set up in launchbox but I'll try to update to the beta.

That's good.  It's also a different part of the whole process. So the beta should fix what's needed should you decide to go that route.
