I’ve been exploring PS2 emulation recently, and one thing that seems to cause confusion for beginners is the BIOS setup. Even when the emulator itself is installed correctly, the wrong BIOS region, an incorrect BIOS path, or unsuitable graphics settings can prevent games from starting properly.

For anyone troubleshooting PS2 games, I’d suggest checking the BIOS configuration first, then making sure the emulator is using the correct game directory and graphics renderer. It can also help to test different settings rather than assuming one configuration works for every game.

I put together a beginner-friendly resource covering PS2 BIOS and emulation. (Link to copyrighted material removed)

Hopefully this helps anyone who is just getting started with PS2 emulation.
