Nixx Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago (edited) Hi everyone! I made a pack of plugins for LaunchBox 14. It is called Nixx Integrations. What does it do? For some emulators, like retroarch, launchbox is able to handle them, manage save and stuff, well, i add support for extra emulators that do exactly that. It puts 8 emulators in LaunchBox for you. Go to Add Emulator, pick one, click Download. The plugin does the rest. You don't have to set anything up. You pick a game, and you play. The emulators Xenia for Xbox 360 Cxbx-Reloaded for the first Xbox Vita3K for PS Vita PPSSPP for PSP Flycast for Dreamcast, Naomi, Atomiswave and System SP melonDS for DS , DSi, DSIware no$gba for Game Boy Advance, DS and DSi SUPER ZSNES for Super Nintendo Hey, but Vita is already managed by launchbox !!! Yes, it does. Mine shows up under the name Nixx-Vita3K. Here is why I made my own. Normally you install a Vita game into Vita3K, and it stays inside the emulator's memory, the NAND. I don't like that. I want my games to stay as normal files, like any other ROM, and to start like any other ROM. So each time you play, the plugin builds a fresh little console just for that game, in a RAM disk. When you quit, it keeps your save and throws the rest away. Your game file never moves. I use the same trick in other places: DSiWare games in melonDS work the same way: one fresh console for each play, and only your save is kept. For formats an emulator can't read, like CHD, the plugin uses the AIM tool to open the file so the emulator can see the game inside. No copy, no conversion. How to install Close LaunchBox. Get NixxIntegrations.exe here: https://github.com/nixxou/lb-integrations-plugins/releases/latest Run it and click Install. Open LaunchBox and add an emulator with Add Emulator. This is a beta Some things may not work yet. If something goes wrong, tell me here. It helps a lot if you send the log files from this folder: %LOCALAPPDATA%\lb-integrations-plugins Thank you for trying it! NixxIntegrations.v1.1.1b.exe Edited 11 hours ago by Nixx Quote
Nixx Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago (edited) I will probably end up adding more emulators, ideally i want to cover all those in the launchbox internal database, but that take more time than expected. Edit : I'm working on Xemu right now, and i will probably have to alter the way i handle save in cxbx to be able to make them compatible with xemu, so expect some compatibilty issue with cxbx save on the next version.
