Shu Posted October 20 Posted October 20 (edited) Once my collection looked right on the big TV I wanted the same in my hands, so this is the Steam Deck side of my LaunchBox 4K CRT Build. It runs on your PC and sends your LaunchBox games over your home network to EmuDeck on the Deck, every system on a lighter version of the same old TV it gets on the big screen. It's on GitHub: shu2600/shus-steam-deck-crt-build It finds EmuDeck whether it's on the internal drive or the SD card and shows you what'll fit, you pick all games, just your playlist games or none per system, and each one gets the Mega Bezel Standard version of its PC look (including any you picked yourself) so it's easy on the battery. Any shader packs the Deck's missing it grabs itself from their official pages, your covers, 3D boxes and logos go across into ES-DE, and your LaunchBox favourites turn up in Steam with box art. Step by step: Wi-Fi or Ethernet, keeping it awake and turning on SSH. Every system with its size, against the Deck's free space. No games or BIOS included, downloaded or linked, bring your own. You need the PC build done first and EmuDeck on the Deck. Download the ZIP from GitHub and double-click setup_deck.bat on your PC. Update 23 Oct (v1.1): had ChatGPT go through the code and fixed what it found... the wizard tells you now if a step fails instead of saying "All done", two different games with the same file name both get sent (the second used to get left behind), and the Steam favourites only touch the shortcuts they made, your own ones stay how you had them. I'm an old school web developer and coder, and I love AI... this is me using it to build what I'd have built anyway, just a lot faster. How it's made: I built this with Anima, my own AI setup. It's a hive mind of AI agents that all share one brain, a memory I've been building for months. Anima writes and tests the code with me and can call a council of other AIs (ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek and more) to pick holes in it.
