MadVintager Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Hey everyone, I built RomSieve to make curating ROM sets before importing them into LaunchBox less of a chore. Instead of messing with old Win32 clr tools or batch scripts, it gives you a clean desktop app to filter sets down to what you actually want to play. It handles deterministic 1G1R filtering based on your region and language priorities, strips out bad dumps, and automatically generates .m3u playlists for multi-disc games (PS1, Saturn, etc.) so LaunchBox doesn't end up with duplicate entries for every disc. It also parses TOSEC naming directly from filenames on top of standard DAT-based sets like No-Intro, Redump, and MAME. Everything has a full dry-run mode so you can preview changes before touching your disk. On the roadmap, I'm working on multi-DAT processing in a single pass, on-the-fly ROM patching (translation, bugfixes) prior to filtering, and several other workflow features. Binaries and source are on GitHub: https://github.com/madvintager/RomSieve It's free and open source. Let me know if you run into any issues or have feedback for future updates. Quote
