DrEvil Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) This is a free, open source (MIT) plugin that adds a small AI chat panel to LaunchBox. You can ask about your games, find a manual, check which emulator a game uses, or have it build a playlist from your library. Typing and Windows dictation both work. It runs on your own AI subscription: bring your own Claude Code or Codex subscription and its CLI. There are no API keys. The plugin never asks for one and stores none. Power users: the plugin is also an MCP server, so your own Claude Code or Codex session can drive LaunchBox live through it, with the same guards. It cannot delete anything; that is locked in the plugin. Other changes are real changes, and bulk rewrites wait for your Yes, so make a LaunchBox backup first. Requirements: Windows, LaunchBox 14.1.x, Claude Code or Codex (subscription) signed in. Install: close LaunchBox, unzip into your LaunchBox folder, start LaunchBox, then Tools > Manage > Plugins > Padmaster AI Assistant > Configure, tick Enable, Save. Why the name: Pad Master is the eventual application I am actually building that requires this first step. Padmaster will show a specific game's controls overlaid on a picture of your own controller, from inside LaunchBox. This chat panel is phase one. The AI agent had to exist first; Pad Master is built on top of it. This is a beta. Bug reports and ideas are welcome in GitHub issues; please attach Plugins\PadMaster\padmaster.log.
