About This File

As per version 3.0 this theme is now rebuilt from the ground up for performance and optimization.

The theme showcases an arcade cabinet in an 80s style arcade with a dynamic marquee that can pull from a number of fallback images on a per-game basis, making sure there's always something displayed in the marquee.

Released

This theme has been completely ported to the COMMUNITY Theme Creator and can now be edited from within the COMMUNITY Theme Creator by using the Theme Creator files (must be version 2.3 or higher of the theme creator).

  • There are now video reflections on the cab
  • There are now fallback marquee support. If no marquee image exists, it will now fallback to using fanart + clear logo.

This is pretty much everything I've wanted in an arcade theme. Lots of verisimilitude, animated P1 joystick, The Carpet, perfect marquees - it has everything. It doesn't skimp on the information, either, presenting genre, play mode, year, and time played subtly on the machine, without disrupting the atmosphere. It's fast and responsive, too. Thanks for creating and sharing this!
