About This File

Hi guys. This theme was created based on the glorious theme for Emulation Station called Hypermax.

I have tested it on my 55 inches TV screen and it looks amazing.
Theme runs fast and I did not have performance issues.

The theme has 04 platform/Game views - like shown in the video,
with right and left wheels positions to please everyone.

Features:
* Support for 121 platforms (Platform Clearlogos/Controller/Console images already included);
* Light animations - performance should not be an issue;
* The theme has its own platform logos, some were present on original Hypermax, and others were created by me;
* It also includes an image for each console and each console's controller.
* Platform Videos used/shown in the Youtube theme video can be downloaded here:
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/uxxbc2bxu3pbb/Hypermax_Videos
(Access the above link and choose the platform video you wish and download it)

Installation:
* To install/use the theme, just unzip it in the folder Launchbox\Themes and set it in Bigbox.
* Go to Bigbox Menu > Manage Themes > Installed - All > Hypermax Refried > Apply as Main Theme

Changing Views:
* Go to Bigbox Menu (press esc) > Manage Theme Specific Options > Hypermax Refried > Views > and Select your Desired "Platforms List View" and "Games List View" - or
* If you are using a joystick, press down L3 (Left analog stick) to access the Views menu and change the view
(when you press down L3 on platform view you will be able to change "Platforms List View" and when you press Down L3 on Games View, you will be able to change "Games List View")

Tips:
* Set Bigbox to skip game details for more similarity to Emulationstation:
* Go To Bigbox Menu > Options > General > Skip Games Detail Screen

Extra Tips:
* Each platform has a character PNG/wallpaper background JPG that can be changed/included by the one you wish.
Just replace the png/jpg in MEDIA/Character and MEDIA/Background Wallpaper folders, for the ones you want following
your platform name.
Paths:
Character: LaunchBox\Themes\Hypermax Refried\Media\Characters
Background Wallpaper: LaunchBox\Themes\Hypermax Refried\Media\Background Wallpaper

CTC Files:
* I'm releasing the CTC files up with the update 2.1 so you can use Community Theme Creator and edit the theme
and make the changes you want or even create a whole new theme.
* To use CTC Files, Just unzip the file to the folder "My Theme Projects" in your Community Theme Creator install directory.
* Open CTC choose Hypermax Refried and make the changes you want and export the theme

Credits:
* For @y2guru for providing the the amazing tool -  Community Theme Creator 2.5.5 used to assemble this theme;
* For the original logos (non-rounded ones): all credit goes to Dan Patrik for his amazing work;
* Characters pngs and background wallpapers: all credit belongs to their original creators whoever they are;
(I've just found them online hosted on several websites)
* For the original creator of Hypermax Theme for EmulationStation;
* For Platform Videos: they were gathered from multiple resources - Credit belong to their original creators;

Please enjoy.

Hey again ^_^

Background wallpaper

name file for Arcade Capcom Play System II

is:

Capcom Play System II.jpg

I though to use

Arcade Capcom Play System II.jpg

It is correct to use for the Arcade playlists the name without the initial "Arcade"?

I see that there are some files named "auto-XXX.jpg"

for what are used?

Thank you again!!!

^_^

Hello, the logic of background wallpaper name is to match your platform name. If your Capcom Play System Platform is named for example as CPS, you should name the background wallpaper as CPS.jpg otherwise it will bring the default wallpaper (that only shows when the system does not found the wallpaper to that specific platform).

Thank you again for you reply!

I admit that my question was made in a very bad way.

Yes, it is like you are telling me.

The name refers to the nested name and not to the unique name.

I suppose that the files named auto---something.jpg are referring to someone that have named his playlist in that way. So I can rename them to my playlist name.

There is another dir named "Selected Item Audio Files". How it works?

Thank you again for your time!

I love this theme and I am spending a lot of time changing ad updating wallpaper, character to my needs ^_^

Glad you are enjoying the theme, please just ignore these other files. These are files for a future update. They are not used by the current version of the theme.

hello again, still enjoying the theme. I have been working on daphne and have multiple versions of lair, lair2, and ace. Do you know of a quick fix to display the full text instead of getting cut off as shown

**Edit

I figured it out.. having multiple versions you need to be sure to have a title in the version field in launchbox meta data, also it helps to have same title.

Hey not sure if you still are working on this but after some time with it I noticed the theme getting sluggish after awhile so I deleted all image cache. I started Launchbox and all images cached up as expected. When running big box only 6 images got cached in the Cache-BB folder... this is after viewing a ton of systems and games. Then after awhile it will get sluggish. It seems that this is because no images are being cached in the BB folder. I could be wrong which is why I am asking... does this have something to with your theme maybe.. or ?

Hello! I am using my theme for a long time and I've got almost 35000 games in my setup and it runs fast no slowdowns. My games are stored in 03 8TB External Seagate drives. Maybe you should check your drive speed or update your Launchbox/Bigbox. Try another theme and if the problem persists it is mostly like due to your drive.

I'm having the same issue. Did you find the fix for this?

Simple scrolling seems to be ok for the most part but when in 'Attract Mode' the sluggishness starts for me. I am hoping for a simple screensaver option that plays user defined videos (Batocera does this)

I will try to test again with the latest LB soon though

Ohh ok let me know how it goes. Really love this theme. Wish it would not have this issue.
