About This File

Hi,

This application helps you find missing games for all your main consoles.

Step-by-step usage:

  1. Select the folder that contains your platform XML files — usually located at LaunchBox\Data\Platforms.

  2. Choose the output folder where the result files will be saved.

  3. Check the consoles you want to scan.

  4. Click Start to begin the comparison.

Important notes:

  • For each selected console, the app will generate a CSV and an Excel file with the results (own and not found).

  • Only games marked as "Released" in your database will be included in the comparison.

  • If you click on Auto select all platforms in launchbox, all the platforms displayed or not in the software will be processed.

As the software compares the results with the local launchbox database file, as long as it is up to date or used by launchbox, this software will work and have an up-to-date list.

If you're reading LaunchBox data anyway you could read the Platforms.xml file in the Data folder to get the Scrape As value of the platforms and remove the requirement that users HAVE to use the GamesDb platform name in their install.

Your plugin looked helpful so i wanted to give it a shot but i got a error that shows up twice once you boot launchbox then crashes it. I have the plugin setup in C:\Users\****\LaunchBox\Plugins folder. This is what it looks like. Any help would be appreciated. Have a good one.

Hi, this is not a plugin, software is standalone, don't put it in your launchbox folder, just run "missing titles.exe".

Ahh my bad as this is in the plugin section I assumed it would go in said folder. I looked in the description to see if there were anything mentioned. Just tried it again and that solved it. Thanks this will help me a lot with my gaming collection. Keep up the great work B|.

It's in the section "Third-party Apps and Plugins", this one is a apps not a plugin 😉

Nice app, love how fast it creates the csv and xlsx files. I however can't understand why it doesn't read my a few of my xml files located in my Platforms directory. For example, it reads Atari 2600 and 7800 xml but not the 5200 xml. It reads the Atari Jaquar xml but not the Atari Jaquar CD xml. I tried to manually select these by clicking the checkbox, but they are not read into the program. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Have you tried with the button "auto select all platform..."?

Yes, I should have wrote, I have also tried to manually select along with auto select....

the results are the same, some xml files are found some are not. It is consistent on which files are found/not found for either method.

You could check it the plugin done by Joe are able to see your platform;

I don't know why the auto detect does not work, maybe there is a wrong setup in lauchbox. If you Edit your platform "Atari 5200", does the title is "atari 5200" and the scrape as is "atari 5200"? The checkbox need to match with the title, for this case it's "Atari 5200", but auto detect, doesn't use the title.

I checked the data from the Edit platform in launchbox and everything looked good with case and convention. I loaded up Joe's plugin you mentioned and it works great and reads all my platform XML files. Thanks for the tip.
