I also do not understand why you should ever want to use m3u files. Launchbox can also use FOLDER NAME as the name of the game. Seeing as MS Xbox360 games are only one level deep, and in .xex format and mostly already have the name of the game...that more than dissuades the use of m3u files. Adding all XBOX360 games should only be a matter of adding roms...opening file explorer in your microsoft Xbox360 games folder...looking for *.xex.....and mass select all of them.

I knew it had to work. Glad you got it sorted out in the end!

OK. Then I will wait till you get to testing it.βΊοΈ

@Shredder_guitar : Did you get a chance to test it?

Can you backup your C:\Users\{INSERT-PC-NAME}\AppData\Roaming\ScummVM folder. Then extract my scummVM.zip and place that ScummVM folder in your C:\Users\{INSERT-PC-NAME}\AppData\Roaming directory Edit the scummVM.ini file and change the path to the directory where your SCUMMVM games are located. In my ini they are pointing to : D:\LaunchBox\Games\ScummVM\ Change that to your scummVM directory. EXAMPLE 3 Skulls 3 Skulls of the Toltecs (DOS English).bat Put the '3 Skulls of the Toltecs (DOS English).bat in your Launchbox Games directory My bat files are located in : D:\LaunchBox\Games\ScummVM\launchers Change the contents of the bat file to where your ScummVM is installed. Mine points to the Thirdparty dir D:\LaunchBox\ThirdParty\ScummVM\scummvm.exe Also change the contents of the batfile to where your ScummVM game is located Mine points to my scummVM games dir D:\LaunchBox\Games\ScummVM\3 Skulls of the Toltecs (CD DOS) In Launchbox these are my settings for my SCUMMVM emulator And my SCUMMVM games are all pointing to the bat files which the EPICFAIL scummVMlauncher creates The scummvm launcher also creates an epicfail file which is put in each game folder : 3 Skulls of the Toltecs (DOS English).epicfail Try to also put it in your game folder This should work. At least this is my configuration and files. And they are tried and tested. ScummVM.zip 3 Skulls of the Toltecs (DOS English).epicfail

Shredder_guitar was referring to starting scummvm games with bat files created by Epicfail's tool I am also using the bat files and it works flawlessly. Example of contents of bat file for 3 Skulls of the Toltecs : @echo off "D:\LaunchBox\ThirdParty\ScummVM\scummvm.exe" --no-console -f -gNormal --path="D:\LaunchBox\Games\ScummVM\3 Skulls of the Toltecs (CD DOS)" toltecs

Nice prospects RetroHumanoid!! I'm also using your theme. Since using it I've customised it myself and in 'Arcade' and 'Mame' I have customized the theme in such a way that each game shows it's own cabinet. I also customized this for all Pinball FX versions. And some other platforms. But good to know your theme is still being developed and upgraded! Keep up the great work! -

Just add a new folder in c64Dreams/Games with the name of your own game. Let's say you added Zeppelin For ease of use, download your zeppelin game, extract it...rename it to 'Disk1.d64' Now in C64Dreams\Games\Zeppelin... Put the Disk1.d64 Choose another game. For my example I choose Zatacka and Yie Ar Kung-Fu You will notice Zatacka and Yie Ar Kung-Fu use slightly different ways of launching the game using the game.bat You have to choose yourself which kind to use. Most likely both will work. For ZATACKA example : copy over all files that are in there (the .bat, the .cmd, the .vbs) and copy them to your C64Dreams\Games\Zeppelin folder Just rename the cmd and the vbs to the name of your game. Then in Launchbox just import roms for your C64dreams platform and add the game by searching for the vbs file : \Launchbox\C64 Dreams\Games\Zeppelin\Zeppelin.vbs For Yie Ar Kung-Fu example : copy over all files that are in there (the .bat, the .cmd, the .vbs) and copy them to your C64Dreams\Games\Zeppelin folder Here also a manual is directly called in the bat file ..\..\Utilities\Cdisplayex\Cdisplayex.exe ".\Yie Ar Kung-Fu Manual.cbz" And if u don't have a manual...u have to delete that line in your zeppelin game.bat So I mostly use games which are configured like ZATACKA...to try and add games. -
correct. And VITA3K also uses some storage directory which holds all that data (references to installed games/DLC's,...) which might not be the same directory on a different computer, so any files referencing to that folder on your laptop would not be on your PC So do a search on your laptop to any of these folders...or check your settings in vita3k on your laptop. And if you found it...then also copy over that folder to your PC

Anyone else experiencing errors in windows event-viewer with eventID 153 (nvlddmkm) on the latest nvidia drivers? In Amstrad GX4000, amstrad CPC and several others Retroarch shows a black screen on startup... and the notification in eventviewer. After I reverted back to 572.75 no errors at all. Those drivers seem to be getting worse instead of better π

LB team...the new forum colors are a bit off. Contrast doesn't quite seem to be what it should be. The grey of the individual topics (dosbox, emulation, games, monkeys,...)....it's not dark enough. Overall, OK...but I miss the difference between background and individual forum items. Can you not make these whole horizontal bits a lot darker? User interface wise, I just sense there is something not quite right with the colors and contrast. I did not have that feeling with the previous styling. Can someone look into this please? Or give a comment if you agree with me.

Glad to hear it worked. I aim to please π

add an amstrad gx4000.opt file in config\cap32 cap32_advanced_green_phosphor = "15" cap32_autorun = "enabled" cap32_combokey = "select" cap32_db_mapkeys = "enabled" cap32_floppy_sound = "enabled" cap32_gfx_colors = "16bit" cap32_keyboard_transparency = "disabled" cap32_lang_layout = "english" cap32_model = "6128+ (experimental)" cap32_ram = "128" cap32_retrojoy0 = "auto" cap32_retrojoy1 = "auto" cap32_scr_intensity = "8" cap32_scr_tube = "color" cap32_statusbar = "onloading"

@Zombeaver : Are there any status updates on C64 Dreams progress? Much obliged πββοΈ -
I also experienced this error. Just from hybrid sleep.
-
are there any further progress updates on version 13.20? I'm now kinda withholding from installing it after reading about these issues.

clrmamepro is more for the experienced user. I've been using Romvault for upgrading pretty much the last 20 mame releases without any issues. It is much more user friendly and is updated on a regular basis. Once you set it up once, next times it's just a question of downloading new dat's, importing them, scanning and fixing the files. All through the UI. https://www.romvault.com/
-
Here are my examples. In the opt, you either change the mame_softlists to disabled. Or you as JoeViking mentioned...you change your romnames to the required ones supracan.cfg supracan.opt
-
these are the names it expects. (see screenshot or u can try edit your opt file (\RetroArch\config\MAME\supracan.opt) and disable softlists mame_softlists_enable = "disabled"
-
just create a new post, and share which issues you are having with mame. Hopefully it will also solve your problems with mame.

My version is 1.19.1 and with the configs i added, the core I added and the settings everything works. My advice,...to troubleshoot...start with a whole new retroarch (1.19.1 or 1.20) install on a new folder. Put my configs in the cap32 config folder, the 4.2.0 core in the cores folder... Don't use the cfg arguments in LB, just use the configuration I showed. That way you can rule out any other settings you might have made in your current Retroarch install. And work up from there.
-
I will just share my settings...which do work by the way! (For Amstrad CPC and for Amstrad GX4000) In Launchbox, I do not pass any config at all to retroarch as it is not needed. As you can see from my settings : In the retroarch.cfg (from the main folder) I have global_core_options = "false" In the \RetroArch\config\cap32 directory I have the files which I zipped in cap32.zip In the RetroArch\cores directory I have the cap32.dll from before 2022 cause it is tried and tested and later versions of that core never seemed to work for me. It is in the attached cores.zip As you can see in Retroarch I have locked this core (cap32_libretro.dll.lck) so when you update your cores in Retroarch, this core will be left unattended. Cap32 version : Try this, and hopefully it should work for you. cap32.zip cores.zip
