  1. Thanks for helping Neil. So I have tried what you've shown above. When I get to the controls section I can go into the Port 1 controls, but when I try to assign a key, all I can do is select from the existing controller buttons, I can't assign my own keypress. As you can see (I hope!) from the screenshot below, I've got the right core setup, same as you! Just not sure how to assign a keystroke instead of an existing controller button.
  2. The main reason - as I have retroarch being used for most of the other formats - is that I can't figure out how to get a different controller setting per console using RA. I use it for SNES and it has one keyboard layout (I'm using keyboard exclusively at the moment) but that keyboard layout doesn't work for Mupen+Next. I can change this, and then run Mario 64 fine, but then the SNES doesn't work, and I can't figure out how to change the keyboard layout for each individual game / console I'm emulating. I gave up, and tried RAP64 and this works really well from the keyboard perspective, tracks the achievements perfectly EXCEPT when launched from LB. It's easier for me to just launch from RAP64 and see the achievements in LB than muck around with different keyboard layouts per core.
  3. Sorry if this is in the wrong section Is anyone using RAProject 64 to track retroachievements? If so, can you please help? I have launchbox setup to launch the games, and this works absolutely fine. However, there's no gameid in the achievements overlay and therefore no achievements. If I launch RAP64 outside of LB the achievements work fine. Achievements work on all my other games in LB now, but this is the last one I really want to get working. I've tried copying the script from the only other thread in the forum I can find on this subject but this doesn't seem to work for me. Thanks.
  4. Shhhh I know ! I started with the games I loved, moved onto the ones I quite liked, then looked at the ones that supported high scores (because I'm like that, it's sad I know!). I'm going to get a complete set one of these days, but the MAME high score thing has brought the worst out in me, harking back to the days of whoring Xbox Achievements (yes, including Avatar, 1000g in 6 minutes, to my shame) just to be top of my friends list. I think I've just about got it out of my system over the past month ......
  5. So now I almost wish I hadn't read this topic, I'm feeling wholly inadequate!!! I grabbed LaunchBox really just as a nice front end for MAME. only really now started to add other games. Currently standing at 1005 games! Thanks for some of the inspiration to grow ......
  6. Thanks Joe, you're an absolute hero! I had to muck around a bit before I realised that I had to change the file name AND the extension (bloody Windows!) and then change the launch file name Launchbox as well (as Windows IS case sensitive!). Now just got to go back and get that high score again Cheers, much kudos!
  7. Hi, struggling to get a couple of games working. Most of my games are working fine, reporting the hi scores as you would expect, so I don't think there is anything fundamentally wrong with my setup. Specific games include Mr Do's Castle and Crazy Kong. I've attached the log file specific to Do Castle in the spoiler below. I've tried deleting the cfg file and the hi file, but to no avail. I'm scoring over 20k so it would definitely be appearing in at least the weekly scores list. If I play one of the alternative versions the hi scores are recorded in my profile, but not the original game. I've tried a different rom file. Help!!! Most likely something really stupid and obvious, but this is doing my head in
  8. No idea on the standards, but I guess the decision on fruit machines has now been made
  9. (sorry if this is the wrong place, I'm new here!) I've recently been doing some moderation, as I felt I should add rather than just take, and if I'm going to add to the db, I should be prepared to help out. Some of the recent moderations I'm seeing are to delete fruit machines, as people are (understandably) suggesting they shouldn't be in the db as they're not "games" per se. My view is if they are emulated in MAME (as an example), they should probably be in the database, but I don't want to reject deletions if this is against policy. Can anyone point me to any guidance on this, or is there somewhere I should go to learn?
