  1. I don't have the same graphical glitches on videos, so I don't want to try any of these extreme fixes - but since the other thread was closed, I have to post here: the error message boxes are popping up for me again after 11.6 in Big Box. This happens if I use any other theme than Default (Critical, Unified Redux, etc). I thought this issue was resolved in the last few betas. I haven't updated anything on my PC, so I'm not sure what changed here. EDIT: They have gone away after restarting Big Box. I don't know why, but that's good.
  2. With the beta update, it seems to have fixed the Big Box errors. Additionally, with the newest beta update from this morning it seems to be working as well. I'm not sure of the issues the other poster is having - I haven't run into those issues yet, but I doubt I have exactly tried to replicate them either.
  3. Ah, thank you. It seems to have updated, though I had a window popup near the end of the update telling me something didn't install - that the user cancelled it, but I was out of the room when it happened (using remote connection), so I'm not sure what that meant. It may have had something to do with Direct X - I'm not positive, but there may have been another window behind it. Regardless, Launchbox restarted with the beta version, and I'm going to test Big Box in a moment after I fire up the theater room.
  4. I'm getting similar error windows in Big Box ever since the latest updates. I have no clue either. I tried switching themes, and that didn't really help. I have no idea how to try a beta version.
  5. Thank you for the response and your assistance. I followed your instructions on auditing the Arcade to get rid of duplicates, as well as copying the videos over - worked great! EDIT to the following: I had to restart Launchbox and now it is working. Thank yoU! Is there a way to update JUST the videos and manuals for platforms as a whole? EDIT again: Never mind, I remembered your advice and used the audit function to do it enmasse. Thanks again! However, I still am having issues with videos when importing any systems. I signed up for Lifetime memebership at Emumovies to make sure that wasn't the issue, tested my membership status within Launchbox, and then imported some Atomiswave games under Sammy Atomiswave and scraping as Atomiswave, and everything imported except videos and manuals from the looks of it. I also have a premium lifetime membership with Launchbox. I tested it with a single Wii game, and then same thing happened - no video or manual. The options aren't even present in the Download Metadata options when manually updating the title. I was under the impression that manuals and videos are a part of Premium, yet it seems that those are the items not downloading. Arghhh.. EDIT: Never mind to the above - I got it to work. Thanks again!
  6. I posted in the wrong section...sorry. I've been using Retroarch to play Sega Naomi games, since MAME does not support it. AS such, I added a platform: Sega Naomi, scraped it as Sega Naomi and everything scraped except videos. I downloaded the videos manually from Emumovies and put them in their Sega Naomi folder and now I have videos. The video name format is based on the zip name, and these are essentially MAME roms sharing the same name. However - there are no videos scraped for these Naomi games within my main Arcade platform. Even when I import the specific folder Sega Naomi and scrape them as Arcade and specify Retroarch to open, there are no videos. I cannot just copy and paste the videos I downloaded from Emumovies, since the folder for Mame videos uses the name of the GAME and not the zip. Additionally, for some games there are no images. I find it hard to believe that Marvel vs Capcom 2 cannot be scraped for images or videos unless I manually edit the title - and even then the video is missing. In my multiple attempts to solve this, I now have 2 copies of each game in Arcade (probably because I imported the Naomi folder scraping as Arcade twice with different settings), none with images or videos. So please: 1 - How do I solve this problem? 2 - How do I remove the extra copies - I think I imported the same folder twice. Thanks!
  7. Yes, I have no idea. I can only think of 2 things. 1- The program may have been taking some time to process the drag and drop and I was impatient, or 2- I have a secondary program called Teracopy that can handle copying, moving, pasting, etc. - though this has never been an issue when I've dragged and dropped multiple items anywhere else. Perhaps a conflict with multiple items and Launchbox? I really have no idea why it didn't work.
  8. Yes, an iso is exactly what I meant. It looks like it's importing those as well, so that's good. As for my comment on it being a strange way to go about it: every other single system I've imported has been as simple as using the wizard and pointing to the folder containing the games, etc. When that seems to be the standard way of importing a system and it's games, it's not obvious that one needs to drag a single .cue file to the Launchbox window to specifically import Playstation games. Thus - why I'm here asking for help heh heh!
  9. Ah, thank you. I had to drag just one .cue file in (it was not accepting multiple files), wait for it to import the game and create the platform, then search for Added Roms - which then proceeded to import the rest. I'm not sure about the image files at the moment. That's a very strange way of going about it. I wonder why Launchbox is so picky about Playstation folder format for importing?
  10. Hi - I have a folder here: Launchbox/Games/Sony Playstation/ which contains all my working playstation 1 games. Each game is in it's own folder and contains .bin and .cue, and a few are images. The problem is when I use Launchbox to Import Roms and add the platform - it scans and finds absolutely nothing to add. Every other system has imported just fine - this one is giving me issues. Any ideas?
  11. Thank you for the video, but no - I was referring to this one here:
  12. Yes, I understand that it is Windows reassigning things. I appreciate the ability provided by Mame - but good Lord they could have made it easier on the average end user to set it up.
  13. Oh, I'm going to try the exact same thing. Once I've determined it's working in regular Mame, that's the plan. For whatever reason yesterday my config file wasn't working as expected. Hopefully, I've remedied that so I can use MAMEUI64 again. What I was referring to was the overall problem that Mame has with reassigning input devices when they are unplugged, the pc is restarted, etc. Honestly, a simple option within Mame itself to remember the ID of the controllers is much easier for the typical end-user, rather than having to run command line prompts, create cfg files, edit ini files, etc. I'm not alone in this, from what I've read. I understand why they made it the way they did, but they could make it easier.
  14. Mame really needs to up their game in this area. I know there is a method to their madness, but come on... a little option can't be that difficult to program in there. It certainly seems to be a big enough issue.
