    Could you post your script im having same issues thanks

    Just open notepad and type:

    del and the path (Make sure the beginning and end of your path has quotes) for example:

    del “C:/users/Visivopro/LaunchBox/emulators/supermodel/NVRAM/swtrilogy.nv”

    to your swtrilogy.nv file then save it as whatever.bat then in LaunchBox go to the additional apps tab and add the .bat file and tell it to run after closing program. Also to make sure you don’t cause any other issue make sure to check your emulator settings for supermodel on LaunchBox and make sure the override default startup screen is not checked, that was causing supermodel to lose focus and quit after mouse click.

    between those two things it should clear up any issues. If you still need help feel free to ask and I can do my best to help.

    also make sure you delete the nv file before running it again in big box for the first time. That should make sure it gets deleted every time you close supermodel.

    Me too. Sold my Aimtraks early while they were still worth something. If Sinden’s work as well as they appear, they‘ll be the must have light guns.

    Can’t wait until September and they arrive.

     I build arcades for clients (Great at wood working, not so great with software YET) and I always cringe when they ask for light guns and always have to tell them that they don't work very well and i always get "well I saw random YouTuber with them and they worked great " yeah well you didn't see the 14 days of work he put in to making them work half way decent. I have most recently be just recommending the dolphin bar with a wiimote.

    Glad you got it working.

    FYI, I don’t use the same device for every game. For example, I might use a light gun in 1 game, but prefer the trackball, even though it’s a light gun game.

    In these cases, you can add specific controls in the supermodel.ini per game. Just start with [swtrilgy] and list the key mappings needed.

    Or you can do it by running the config input option per game, for example supermodel3.exe -config-inputs swtrilgy

    interesting i will take a look at that and yes this cab has lightguns but to be honest they are kinda shit, I have aimtrak guns and the calibration is terrible! can't wait for the LCD guns to come out, I have mine per-ordered for September.

    When you click on the mission to start, is it selected and starts playing right away, or is there a slight pause before the timer selects the one one you were on?

    If you look in your supermodel.ini, are your mouse buttons promptly mapped for swtrilgy?

    OMG! I fixed it and I feel like a total idiot!!!! Some how I had the check box checked for overriding the default startup screen and somehow that was shifting focus to windows and clicking it made it freak out. so now it works perfectly. Thanks for all the help!

    Maybe this will help? this is how my ini is set up, do you see anything off or strange?

    Yes it does select it right away, then looses focus and moves behind, as for the INI there doesn't seem to be any specific controls for just that game, should there be?

    When you move the mouse it has to be within the black window that appears or it does t appear to register. There are several analog inputs options for this game, so I’d try them all. (Separately)

    Duh! Can't believe I didn't know this haha anyway it didn't solve my issue here is a video of the issue i am having. I started another thread hoping maybe someone else knows why it is doing this.

  8. Hey Everyone

    Been having a strange issue in Big Box launching SW Trilogy with the supermodel emulator. Screen blanks out and loses focus back to big box after clicking a level. Game runs fine in Launchbox and in the supermodel Emulator. I have disabled the mouse in Big box but the issue continues. Any help would be amazing.

    I have attached a video demonstration.

    I'm on r782 still. (Haven't had the need to update)

    Did you correctly configure your mouse for use in swtrilgy?

    My ini won't help as I have a real analog joystick I use for that game.

    Sorry for the delay in response, I actually cannot figure out how to configure the mouse, when setting configs in supermodel it doesn't react when attempting to set the mouse but it does work when simply playing from supermodel and not within big box. Am I doing something wrong?

    It is been a while, I am still not done with this build, but I have done more things with this cabinet:

    First added my old 32 inch TV to the cabinet, and tried what a marquee monitor could look like (just as a test, for the final product I want to use either a way smaller screen as marquee or a projector)

    I build a PC inside wich looks really messy right now since I have not done cable managment yet

    DSCF5275.thumb.JPG.655a8b3191050781c605acdc94c1aa9c.JPGFor a sound system, I used a Logitech PC 2.1 system. I wanted to use a mini amp at first, but I always had major sound issues with the PC, so I decided to go with a regular PC sound system and it works great.

    Then shortly after christmas the buttons, sticks and trackball arrived from Ultimarc. I choose to go with 2 MagSticks+ and classic Pushbuttons. The trackball is a regular white one.

    Not really. I just changed my configuration to use that bat script to start and it worked fine from both LB and Big Box. No issues with my secondary monitor, or losing focus.

    I would try using the additional apps method and forget the script method if it's causing focus issues. There are some tricks you can do using AHK scripts to grab focus back, but that additional apps and running you script to erase the nvram file should work.

    any chance you wouldn't mind sharing your setting and .ini also yes i did it with the additional apps but as soon as I click the mouse on the level select it goes black and the game loses focus. what version of supermodel are you using?

  12. 23 minutes ago, Headrush69 said:

    Too tired, I should be sleeping..... I forgot, when you edit the game, in the additional apps tab you can set apps to run before or after the game runs. Try running your script there.

    Sorry about that.

    great try

    what you suggested worked however now the game loses focus and continues to play in the background. also because its playing in the background bigbox doesn't see it anymore and assumes you quit. only way to fix it is to click on star wars window and quit the app.

    Any other ideas?

    Trying adding to your script, changing into the supermodel folder first. (I added it to example above)

    It should not be trying to change the resolution if you set it to your monitor resolution, so it's not reading the supermodel.ini file if we aren't in the supermodel folder first.

    I figured it out a different way. Main issue was supermodel was creating a corrupted .NV file, causing the game to perform poorly or not at all upon second launch.

    Found this from a DEV:

    "The underlying cause of this has never been investigated. Clearly, the game is skipping some initialization step when it detects unused coins."

    The game will boot with an NVRAM file, I think. Just make sure there are no unused credits. Try inserting only one coin, playing a game, then exiting.

    However this is a horrible solution so I just changed the folder Name of NVRAM to something else and voila it worked! No more errors or glitches.

    I don't know why it's trying to launch on your secondary monitor, but yes setting the resolution to your native monitor resolution will likely help.

    Like I mentioned, I don't pass these options to supermodel3.exe, but have them set in my supermodel3.ini file in the COnfig folder in the supermodel3 folder.

    FullScreen = 1
    Throttle = 1
    ShowFrameRate = 0
    FlipStereo = 1
    VSync = 1
    XResolution = 1920
    YResolution = 1080
    ...

    also oddly enough it works perfect in launchbox, just not in big box. Yeah i don't think it's going to work because for some reason it is also losing all my control configs as well so it basically launching directly, causing it to ignore all the config file stuff.

    yes that is exactly what I have. it launches fine, changes the resolution of my screen, loses focus and jumps to my secondary monitor and finally hides behind supermodels command window

  16. 16 minutes ago, Headrush69 said:

    just add -fullscreen after the exe in the line I posted above.

    okay thank you that worked however now when I load it in bigbox it does all kinds of resolution changes and tries to launch on my secondary monitor. i tried to turn off the secondary monitor but it didn't make a difference. Should I try setting the resolution to my current monitor resolution in supermodel?

    I'm not sure LB can run a script on exit yet, but you could modify your script to also include starting that game, waiting until it closes, then do what you have now. Then set this specific game to use that script, rather than use an emulator.

    also how do I tell it to launch the game considering it isn't an EXE but rather a zip file? seems launching the zip just opens it in unrar.

    I'm really new to writing script I did read that was possible so would I create a bat file then tell launchbox to open the bat file rather then the .zip? How would i get launchbox to run my bat rather then the traditional way of running the game?
