  1. Thanks Jason. Let me scrub it all, load the new beta, and try to do an import direct from the usb memory card and will let you know how it goes. I assume the app will place the xml and media files automatically on the internal storage. I assume that media includes the new video files... which is a shame. I think for me it just means a tightly currated set of games rather than dumping entire sets.
  2. Ok I have just tested this... You do have to be in a list (e.g. Mame, Snes, etc) but no matter whether the format is list, boxes, wheel then I am getting search in the menu. Maybe if you could get a screenshot or picture hosted somewhere then can help further.
  3. So the trick is to get to the three dots menu in the top right when looking at a game list. I have trouble with this using my Android TV remote, but on my connected controller then it is accessed with the select button. You can see the three dots in the screenshots on this page https://www.launchbox-app.com/android-about In that menu is an option for Search.
  4. There is a search option - I have to press select on joypad and brings up menu at top right of screen. In there is search.
  5. I dont see any options about removing the all games item. I am assuming you know you can long press on an item and change the Media.
  6. I want to move the data location to my USB flash drive due to the size. I am using Amazon Fire TV Cube. I used a file utility to copy over the contents from the internal storage to the USB flash. But when I go to change the settings in Launchbox then I get an error: Android is not granting read and write permissions to the folder you've specified. I went into my file utility (ES Explorer) and it is saying that there are read/write permissions on the folder on the flash. I have also checked that the app has read/write permissions for storage. Can anyone offer any suggestions please?
  7. So just documenting something as this happened to me... same scenario, it was working through Retroarch direct but then getting black screen when launched from LaunchBox. I then saw the problem as I deleted and retried an import. I used a Mac to put the ROM files onto a flash drive. In some circumstances Macos stores a hidden file that is formatted as a "._samefilename" I could then see that the import utility in LaunchBox was finding these files and my settings had the combine ROMs option on. So I turned that combine option off, did import again and then saw that for each ROM I had two entries in the games list. The answer for me was to run a Macos shell utility called dot_clean on the flash drive. This removes all the ._ files. I imported again and it worked fine, with games running as expected. @Jason Carr - just highlighting in case you have other problems with this. Maybe a feature to ignore ._ files on the import might be a good thing.
  8. Been working through getting it implemented on 2nd gen Fire TV cube. I didn't have an email client on the cube and so I downloaded the apk to a memory stick and then used a file explorer app (x-plore file manager) to install it. Worked OK, except for the icon that is shown in the interface. You can see an example of the broken image icon below. I don't think this is a specific issue to LaunchBox as reports of this happening on other apps also (screenshot shows it happening with the Peacock TV app), but wanted to share in case anyone has seen it and found a solution. I have tried installing again and rebooting the cube. Thanks for any ideas for me to try.
  9. Wow... I didnt mean to multi post, I just saw a more recent thread and relevant thread. I read elsewhere about the mods on here being a bit unfriendly!
  10. Hi, am I right in thinking that videos are not shown on the free version of Launchbox?
  11. So in the free version of Launchbox this area is greyed out and videos are not selected. So free version = no videos?
