Scraping FInalBurn 2020-01-06 Neo set
DontPanic replied to riblad_om's topic in Playlists & Playlist Media
When I auto generate child playlists I get this. https://imgur.com/a/T7J1MQK It really sub divides every category. -

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "that are not actually in a FBA romset now." Seemed to work fine. I just wanted to get rid of the dupes and hacks and casino, etc. But what happened to the playlists? It wasn't generating 180 different categories a couple of days ago? -

I imported Final Burn Neo using the Import MAME full set option and it scrapped it fine. I also wanted to have two separate MAME and FBN playlists. Doing it the way I did they both show up under Arcade. You can build child playlists for each but they have so many categories it seems ridiculous. Is there any way to reduce the number of catagories? -
Okay that worked. When I tried making playlists it only made All, and Favorites. I think it's missing it's metadata.

I did have that set but I deleted it because I thought that might be the problem. Let me redo that. Also it's not Neo Geo in retroarch, it's Final Burn but they changed the Alpha to Neo when they split recently.
-
So it reinstalled and the artwork is still there but it still won't launch the games. MAME still works and I can launch the games from retroarch itself.
-
When I reinstalled the Platform I named it the same thing. Should I have not checkmarked the metadata search? Edit: I canceled it and did it without the metadata search.
-
So if I rename the Platform the same thing it should automatically associate?
-
DontPanic started following If I delete a platform will it delete the media associated with it?

I've been trying to install Retroarch and specifically Final Burn Neo. While trying to figure out how to not have FBN under the MAME platform category I messed something up. Now FBN games won't load up. I want to delete the Final Burn Neo platform so I can reinstall it but I don't want to have to download all the media again. If I delete the platform will the media get deleted? Or will it get repopulated once I reinstall the platform?
