I've got everything updated. Nvidia GPU and Windows 10.
Otherwise, yesterday I tried it on my main computer (Windows 11) and BigBox also crashes with VLC.
I recorded a sample from the secondary computer (Windows 10, i7-6700k, 32GB RAM, 2060 Super)
showing how it crashes as soon as I switch to VLC. This never happens with WMP.
At least I managed to change the COLORFUL theme so the colors display correctly, regardless of the player I'm using.
I don't want to bother you too much since I know people talk about issues with beta versions here.
I was going to download it, but when I saw that it didn't have VLC,
I skipped it, since that's all I was interested in until now. Cheers.Note: At 1:50 you can see what happens when you switch to VLC.

But are they going to remove VLC player forever? I had a lot of videos perfectly edited for Colorful and VLC.
At the moment, VLC keeps freezing for me. But I'm writing more because I recently had problems with the k-lite pack and I'd like to share it here:
A few months ago, after updating PotPlayer (I used it for desktop), my computer would restart by itself when I opened a video. It didn't happen all the time, but it did happen when I started opening the video. I uninstalled PotPlayer and the k-lite codecs, and I no longer had that Windows restart problem. But a week ago, I started playing Silent Hill Arcade by teknoparrot, and it would crash at startup. Then I remembered that that game required the k-lite codecs to work (damn it).
Anyway, I downloaded the updated ones from their website and installed them. To my surprise, the next day my PC restarted while I was using the BigBox. Well, I uninstalled K-Lite again, and it stopped happening. It's very strange, and I can't find much information out there in case the same thing happens to someone else. -
The same thing happens to me. I'm browsing platform or game menus (it doesn't matter) and BigBox freezes. I have to close it from task manager. I hope they solve it.

It happened to me and it was because of the compressed files. Launchbox unzips them and sends them directly to Retroarch.
Retroarch saves a configuration with games in zip but receives them in (example nes console) "nfc".
In my case the solution is to have the games already unzipped in game folder so that Retroarch can save the folder paths correctly.

I also tried it like this. But I don't get it. The idea is that the logos furthest from the center: "Comix Zone", have more curvature than "Aladdin"
I currently have it like this. As you can see "Curve Amount" is at 0 because for my taste it distorts the image. And the important thing was in "Rotation Amount", which was a gradual curvature. not linear. Sorry for the language problem. I don't speak English and I use a translator. Regards!

Hello. I have been testing the rotation on the wheel for a long time and it is impossible for me to leave it as before. Now I only get a triangular shape, instead of gradually circular. Here are some examples from before and now with the new tool.

It's okay. I have various doubts. When I open the program it creates/clones a folder outside of "launchbox". I have Launchbox inside the "Launcher" folder. I can't find the option "rotationamount" in wheel. I would also like to know if you can add the "arcade marquee" option to the wheel images. And finally. This option seems fantastic. Being able to meticulously select the distances between the logos of the wheel.

When I return from the platform the screen is black. It doesn't happen always but very often. This doesn't happen if I have the new default theme in the "listdetailsview". With the rest of the themes that I tried, it continues to happen (video don't show). I use VLC player. I'm sure it's from the last update. These days I spent a lot of time entering the program and it never happened until the update. Let's see what it could be. Thanks.

Yes. In the end I did that and now it works without minimizing the game screen. Brilliant. thanks. As a fun fact, I use two screens. Perhaps with a single screen there is no minimization problem. Cheers!

It's okay. I understand it, given the effort you have put into this great project.
I've done some more research and I see that this message (warning: layout view 'lights out bezel' contains deprecated bezel element) only pops up if I launch the game from LAUNCHBOX. If I do it directly from the "MAME" program, that window does not jump and the game is not minimized.
I don't know if it is a problem due to the latest Launchbox update.
I Don't know if there will be any way to fix it. Maybe adding some command besides: "-keyboardprovider dinput". Maybe....
What I did notice is that since the Launchbox update. In BIGBOX mode, now I cannot close the MAME games from the launcher commands. I have to do it with MAME program. If someone happens the same thing. Let's see if we see some light here.
I'll keep inventing. Greetings, genius ?.

Thank you for your great work. I have a doubt. Lately my MAME (0.231) is minimized while I am playing games, it is very annoying. I have tried to know why this happens and I don't know if the cause will be the message of "warning: layout view 'lights out bezel' contains deprecated bezel element" Do you have the bezels updated to the new LAY format ??? Works! The bad thing is that the logos in the upper and lower corner are cut off. Equally. I will leave it better as it was before. First I will organize the collections while I wait for the theme update. It's very frustrating that it freezes every time... go back to the platform menu or change view and lb crash. Thanks friend.

Okay. It is already being a little more to my liking. Right now I have it like this:

Just a question. I have programmed the right stick button of the xbox one controller to change view and sometimes it becomes eternal and repeats the same views (wall, above all) many times in a row.
Is there a way to fix this? Eternally grateful. -

Hello. In addition to the errors some people have mentioned in the main forum, I'm also experiencing the issue that the background music stops playing after the song finishes. You can change the song, but if you let it finish, it stops working, and simply disabling and re-enabling the background music isn't work.
I'm also having problems with hybrid themes, like the latest "aetherial" theme. The backgrounds aren't visible, and the videos aren't displayed. They only appear on the game details screen, even with the default theme. Opacity adjustments don't work in any menu.
I've tested this on three different computers: two with Windows 11 and one with Windows 10, and the problem occurs on all of them. I'll revert to the previous beta version. Sorry if this isn't clear. I don't speak English and I'm using a translator. Thanks.
