  1. Maybe i doesn't explain correctly what i want...

    For example, i have 15 platforms and i want to export to external hard drive 8 platforms (with all needed file for launchbox app and games). So a kind of copy to use it on another computer. So symbolic link are not useful as i can be outside the house with the laptop.

    I already use symbolic link on my backup computer to put lauchbox on ssd and data on another HD. My primary computer have everything on the same HD...

  2. Hi,

    I want to export some platform to a portable hard drive, the reason is that my library is too big to fit on a 2.5 hard drive and the computer (laptop) doesn't have enough power to drive all games. There is a feature like this or have you thought about it?

    It must not be done like to export on android as i don't want to do a copy of 2TB data of games. I'm thinking about a kind of powershell/cmd code that copy needed file for lauchbox and games.

  3. Hi Bumblebee,

    I got the beta version 1.0 after activating beta release in options. https://www.launchbox-app.com/android-about/change-log
    For dos or scummvm games, i think the developer need to add the code to load these core (maybe not simple like this).

    I don't think the first stable version will fix everything, as android have many different hardware and speed. They will add features and support more core/emulator with the time.

    You will maybe get another answer from the team after the holiday...

  4. There is a problem when exporting from launchbox on pc, it does not create the xml file correctly, maybe it's the same when downloading from emumovie on android. Check my post;

    You can confirm this in your xml file in launchbox\data\platforms.

  5. I got a problem when exporting game with video. If the video are in "Recordings" folder, they are not exported, so i need to move it to the main folder video.

    Also, the option are not saved, i choose a different language or do not download missing media, but it back on when i return in launchbox.

    Other things, i created a platforms "Sega genesis hack" for modified roms and i add a custom banner for this but it's not exported as the banner folder are not accessible/hidden on android. Is it possible to move the folder in the exported folder?

  6. You need to move manually all your data from your phone to the sd card and in launchbox on phone, go to option -> data folder.

    Before move it, go to this option and see if it see your sd card by choosing parent folder few times, if you see 2 times /storage/ in the root, it means it see your phone and sd card.

  7. I think the same thing for the info.
    Here's my homemade game selection (pc version), the screenshot of the game is a movie. I think that the most important it's the mode (number of players), style and maybe the community rating. Developer, publisher and release date, i don't think it's really important, but i understand that you need to start somewhere. I think the best can be a menu to select what we want to show.

  8. I found the problem, in the xml file for the platforms on android, for each games, i have this line;
    <AndroidVideoPath />

    The video was not in the path, so the correct is;
    <AndroidVideoPath>Videos/Nintendo 64/007_ The World Is Not Enough.m4v</AndroidVideoPath>

    It is only me that the path was not created by desktop launchbox app when i export it?

    EDIT;

    I've done a new export from 12.6. The line created in xml file is;
    <AndroidGameplayScreenshotPath>Videos/Nintendo 64/1080º Snowboarding.m4v</AndroidGameplayScreenshotPath>

    For now, i changed the "AndroidGameplayScreenshotPath" for "AndroidVideoPath" with note pad++. But that's mean that the screenshot was not in the xml file.
    The orginal code;

    <MaxPlayers>4</MaxPlayers>
        <VideoUrl>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-i9Pz6IzBgw</VideoUrl>
        <AndroidBoxFrontThumbPath>Images/Nintendo 64/Box - Front - Thumb/007_ The World Is Not Enough-01.jpg</AndroidBoxFrontThumbPath>
        <AndroidBoxFrontFullPath>Images/Nintendo 64/Box - Front - Full/007_ The World Is Not Enough-01.jpg</AndroidBoxFrontFullPath>
        <AndroidClearLogoThumbPath>Images/Nintendo 64/Clear Logo - Thumb/007_ The World Is Not Enough-01.png</AndroidClearLogoThumbPath>
        <AndroidClearLogoFullPath>Images/Nintendo 64/Clear Logo - Full/007_ The World Is Not Enough-01.png</AndroidClearLogoFullPath>
        <AndroidBackgroundPath>Images/Nintendo 64/Background/007_ The World Is Not Enough-02.jpg</AndroidBackgroundPath>
        <AndroidGameplayScreenshotPath>Videos/Nintendo 64/007_ The World Is Not Enough.m4v</AndroidGameplayScreenshotPath>
      </Game>

  9. I tryed to export n64 game to get the video, but the file isn't played, i only see the brackground image. I use the Wheel with details view (video enabled). I tryed to use the hardware decoding, no chance. My video are m4v and mp4 file and it can be played by the phone. I have a galaxy s20 FE, launchbox on sd card.

    Do you have a idea?
    For now, i don't want to use emumovie to download again the video as i have done a lot of personnal recording when it was not found.

  10. If you cannot wait, you can take the screenshot from your launchbox on pc and replace the file in the directory in the phone. Just keep the file ending by -01 as only one boxart is on the phone. Verify if you have the same file format for the boxart and screenshot (jpg or png). If you need to change format for screenshot, you can use BulkImageConverter.

    Don't forget to put the same file in the "Box - Front - Thumb" folder.

    Do a backup before if something going wrong.

    I think it's pretty easy to just add a tick for screenshot when exporting to android, so i suppose it will be released soon... I hope 😉

  11. I found the problem, i doesn't see it in the tutorial;

    Here's the folder structure we need;
    -- CD-i (rom folder)
    ----- cidmono1.zip (bios file)
    ----- hotmario.zip (dummy zip file)
    ----- hotmario (folder same name as dummy file)
    ---------- hotel mario (1994)(philips)(eu)[!].chd (same filename found in the xml file)

    So you need to create a folder with your chd in and your chd need to have the same name in cdi.xml.

  12. Hi,

    I have a problem running cd-i game in chd format. I follow this tutorial but i also got the blurry screen "initializing" with required file is missing. I have mame - current (0.237), i have this folder RetroArch\system\mame\hash with cdi.xml. My games are in cd-i\cdimono1\ with cdimono1.zip. I start game with the dummy file.

    I thought that was the bios or game, but i tried with mess (standalone version) with the same file and it work. There is a specific option to change in the core in retroarch? What i missing?

  13. I have done with all the platform games, but i add somes games from a temp folder before drag it in the final folder (i edit the platform xml file to fix the path). It can be a solution to let LB to move games and after move it in the final folder as i no need to import thousand games...

  14. Yes, i know i can see for time added in the audit, but it can be simple to add a log file in the log folder when adding games. Maybe a csv file with two columns separate by comma, first column with input game and second if it's a duplicated.

    I mainly add console games.

  15. Hi,

    When importing games, many times it doesn't import all games because there was detected as duplicate. That's ok, but there is a log or a way to see what games are imported, so i can easily see and remove files on hard drive? If you don't have a way to see that, maybe you could add a link to a log and show it at the bottom of the popup windows "we are adding yours games...".

    It could be really usefull, thanks.
