Actually the solution for mapping a 360 control. or PS4 control. on Demul is to keep pressing the left button on the mouse while you hit the button on the controller you want to map, keep pushing the button on the controller then release the left button on the mouse. Repeat for every buttons you want to map. Though it doesn't work for the directional pads, only the directional joystick, for me at least. Hope it helps.
