Also since i have say 8000 games it says and i think it said 1600 couldnt find art and asked if i wanted to delete them , could they just be games that dont work or clones that i dont need and delete them?

Out of 8000 roms prob half have the box art and ive ran the metadata wizard twice , anyone know why i cant get them all , i have 228 non merged with 228 merged chds and also the bios

Thank you for the replys but im not over thinking this i want to understand it , so let ke put it to you another way , what is the best way to put to the most complete rom pkg together that has the most games that work , ie chds , mame non metged and bios , or chds merged roms and bios or chds split roms and bios ? And do you put them all in sub folders in roms ,( cause if i put them together. They try to overwrite each other ) space dont matter to me i have a 4 tb drive , just trying to put together the most complete set

So like i said am i to assume that if i did have the said file already so if loaded that whole file and a full set off mame roms then thats the best way to go?

If you have all the newest 228 sets when would you need the chds cause that file is around 500 gbs and same with bios even if thats a small file , and please dont send me to the link of the diffetence of sets cause it dont mention when to use these two , thank you very much for any answers yous guys ( and gals ) are great and im a fast learner so i will be happy to help others soon

I have an arcade cabinet with windows 10 on it and i have to use a mini wireless keyboard to move around but is there a way to create your own keyboard and using the joysticks-as a mouse Or the trackball to move around and buttons on cabinet for a back button and enter button so i dont need the wireless keyboard

Why do every shot i take the ball goes staight left , ive taken the trackball apart and cleaned the rollers and isnt that , it must be in a control but i dont know where , k sorry figured it out , was in the analog x and y settings

K i deleted mame ( cause im rammy ram jets lol ) and when i open it it is fresh so no roms anywhere but the machine reads the same like there are roms in there but there isnt any how can that be ?

Oh 1more question how and when do you know to put the bios files in with the roms

I moved them into rom folder with no sub folder and went to the ini and pointed to rom folder and still the same

They are in a folder in roms folder , should i take them out of the folder?

I havent put mame into launchbox yet till i get games workin , every one i click on the big ted banner shows up saying misding roms or chds and ive dowloaded the file 3 times

I downloaded the 228 merged roms on pleasure dome and im getting missin files on mame alone , i thought merged roms were a full set and didnt need anything else?can someone just tell me what all i need for each set merged set and ? splitset and ? non merged set and? chds and ? also if i add bios it asks to replace files shold i be replacing or skipping thanks for any replys

I have about 15 golden tee on my set including a couple that say track ball specific but none of them work , i go into settings to change analog track x and y but when i click enter to change it and move the trackball it dosnt register , just stays blank , i know the track ball works and i cant find my ini in my ini folder any ideas ? I know its prob a simple fix , i am running 228 merged rom set and windows 10 with mame and retroarch installed
