Solved Mr Do. Tools / Manage / Emulators / Retroarch edit and untick "Extract ROM archives before running". Now i have to check all roms work with mame2010

Apologies. I did not realize i deleted and recreated the same thread. This is definitely a launch box configuration issue I have done some more testing and still cant get Mr Do to work. with Launch Box, but it works when launched directly from retroarch that launch box installed I have tied merged and split "mrdo" run from launch box with mame2000_libretro mame2003_libretro mame2003_midway_libretro mame2003_plus_libretro mame2010_libretro mame_libretro None of them work. When i open retroarch direct select mame2010_libretro with Mrdo split it works just fine. I don't understand why it will not run from launch box with the same core setting?

I tried the 2033 mame plus set from Archive org with 2003 mame plus core , that did not work on the first 2 roms. Currently downloading merged, non-merged and split for the source you suggested. Hope one of them 79GB to 139GB work because the next set with CHD's merged is nearly 1TB and will take some time. I hope my problem is not something else other than the set. On a related note, any idea why retroarch does not provide mame 2016 core?

i tired a 2016 98GB but their site said to big for zip on the fly, why bother putting the download link in then 🙂 i'll try the 2003 16GB downloading now and if it all works out try to source 2016 download. Thank you both for your help

i was just about to ask whats the difference between 2003 and 2016 more reliable etc? assume 2016 rom set has most games from 2003 Mame rom set?

found some mame packs 2003 to 2016. will give the 2003 a go. Thanks Retro808

yeah i figured that, but i had a mame 2016 core for my manually downloaded retro arch 64 and that runs some of the games. Took me years to collect these roms, i'd hate it if i had to start collecting again

I am struggling to get a mixture of arcade games to work from my mame libretro rom folder. It was all working in my test rig last year but now i have built the final rig with the latetst launch box i cant seem t create 2 platforms for arcade and have one with MAME 2003 and one with MAME 2016 which some game run on and some dont. The embedded retroarch does not even have Mame 2016 core so i switched to retroarch 64 manul install. I had Mr D0 working with MAME 2016 core then created a 2nd arcade platform for Gauntlet with Mame 2003 core which also worked but then Mr do stopped working any advice is most welcome

Just downloaded, thats perfect. Thank you for taking the time to reply. On a related note, do you know a good source for images of original mame cabs? Scraper did not pick up many. I would like to have the original cab pic where my box - 3d appears in wood panel theme

Image of the AES console, its the only platform out of 25 today that has not automatically had a console image in my big box platform menu. and when I select the platform the games menu defaults to NES console. All looks a bit messed up

Is there no Neo Geo console image for big box?

I have big box 12.5 using wood panel theme. I have set up several platforms with a single test game using "text list with details" view. All I need is video and Box - 3D all platforms are working, NES, SNES, Sega, ZX spectrum and more but not Arcade platform. The video appears in the TV in the view as expected but it will not display the image I have in the BOX - 3D folder for Mr Do. I have checked the spelling is exactly the same as the video and rom. I have put copies of the image the sub folders of Japan, North America and United states but it still will not display. Arcade images are the same file type as my other platforms. I'm stuck! any advice most welcome 🙂

Hi, I am using retroarch 64 windows through launch box. When i launch Gauntlet using mame2003_plus_libretro dll the game runs but controler buttons and joysticks are not working correctly as configured in retroarch. I tried the TAB key when game launched but no config menu opens up. I did try MAME UI stand alone and it will not run my gauntlet but does run Tron and TAB opens up menu. Could some one confirm how to get the TAB menu in mame to work with retroarch 64 windows?

Can't place all my wanted rom media on the screen at once. Is there a theme with a scrolling marque of images/videos? or ordered appearance images / videos within an art box window?
