  1. I've been testing to see when it happens. I only noticed during games at first but it begins increasing volume as soon as I start BB. As soon as the intro video starts it will begin at whatever volume I set the computer at but will steadily increase to full volume and then drop back down on its own. Same thing happens during games. It will increase to max and then randomly back down.
  2. Hi all, I tried using the search function but was unable to come up with anything. A GOOGLE search was no help. When I'm playing games on bigbox the in game volume increases on its own up to what I believe is max volume. It will sometimes correct on its own and come back down to the the level I set using volume controls. This happens regardless of the emulator I'm using. Is there a setting that I'm missing somewhere?
  3. I was hoping to hold out a couple of more months since GPU prices have been coming down considerably. My plan was to get the system all squared away and plug in a GPU at some point over the summer.
  4. I've reinstalled windows with no change. I wiped the entire drive and the problem still shows up. I've also reinstalled the drivers multiple times same thing continues to happen unfortunately.
  5. Hi all. I initially posted in the noob forum but this seems to be a problem more suited for this forum - hope the mods understand. I have a brand new PC build (nothing crazy) I just put together just for home arcade. I'm running: Intel Core i5-12600K MSI PRO Z690-A WiFi ProSeries Motherboard CORSAIR Vengeance DDR5 32GB Gigabyte AORUS NVMe Gen4 M.2 1TB PCI-Express 4.0 (boot drive) WD Red 4TB (rom storage) When I run BB the first time everything works as it should. Once I close the program and restart it looks like this: I do not have Sonic Suite installed. I do not see NahimicOSD in processes or services. I do not see NahimicService.exe in my task manager. I do not see Nahimic in process or services. Not sure what additional information would be helpful. I appreciate any help I can get. Link to post from the Noob forum.
  6. Ok. It’s a brand new windows installation and build. Nothing to crazy. I don’t know what could have gone wrong.
  7. Tried this as well - no joy. Any other suggestions on where to start?
  8. I will give that a shot. Thank you
  9. I went through the post and looked for the processes that caused the issues in that thread. I don't seem to have Sonic Suite or Nahimic running on my PC. I reinstalled my audio and VGA drivers but that didn't seem to help. Switching back to default theme worked until I closed and restarted BB. All other themes have the same glitch as well. I'd like to avoid reinstalling windows if possible but I don't know what else to try. What other details can I provide that might help get to the bottom of the problem?
  10. Totally understand. I didn't consider that when I uploaded it. Just was the quickest solution to the error I received when trying to embed. I added it to youtube: so that should work. I'll take a look at the thread you posted as well. Thank you!
  11. I tried that and got an error so I threw it up IMG_2934.MOV on google drive. I'll give it an other shot.
  12. Hi all, I recently built a new PC for my arcade pedestal and started adding roms last night. Initially everything was working perfectly. At some point the images for the wheel became distorted/disappeared. I was using the unified theme at the time. I switched back to default and that fixed the issue for a moment but then the images disappeared again. I refreshed all images, reinstalled BB and redownloaded all meta data. No change. Not sure what else to do at this point and would appreciate any advice. Thanks Edit to add the video.
  13. I deleted all files and just started over. This time everything worked relatively smoothly. I appreciate all your help. Jack
  14. Still no luck. I'm going to start with a fresh install and work on it after the weekend. Jack
  15. I don't have all the components for my final setup at the moment. Right now I'm working off my gaming laptop and storing LaunchBox on a separate hard drive so I can easily transfer it when I get the other system up and running. Basically I'm downloading to my C drive and then importing to my D drive into LaunchBox. When I imported roms for other platforms I was given the option to move roms into LaunchBox. When I import this full set I don't get that option. Here is what's in the mame.ini file right now : "roms;C:\Users\****\Desktop\Arcade Build\mame-merged" - Thats where the files are currently located. I appreciate your patience.
  16. After a few tried I noticed I'd set the path to the zip and not the exe. I changed it to the exe. Now I'm getting the same issue I was before. Click play and the game begins to load and then nothing happens. I appreciate all the help so far. Jack
  17. Retro, I imported the rom set again and chose Mame as the emulator. I made sure that Arcade was checked and that it matches my name for the rom list (Arcade). When I click on a rom to play it I get this message. This is the first time I've seen it. Previously the games would just fail to launch. So it looks like I've messed something up. Jack
  18. When I imported the roms I chose MAME as the emulator - I believe LaunchBox recommended that choice and mentioned I could later change to retro arch. The current rom set I'm using is labeled as 0.238. I don't want to break any rules but they were from a large public discussion board website. I check my LB folder and my version of Mame was different. 0.239? Maybe? I deleted it and installed Mame .238. In the process of deleting the roms from LB and then I'll re-import. After some messing around i was able to get the roms to play in Mame outside LB. I'll report back after I re-import. Thanks for your help. Jacck
  19. Which orientation did you end up going with? I have two designs for the top of my CP. One has P3 and P4 oriented the same as P1 and P2. The other has P3 and P4 angled. I think I'm going to have both cut and test them out but was curious where you ended up. Jack
  20. Hi all, I'm in the process of building my own 4 player pedestal home arcade system. After a few months of research and tweaks I settled on a design and have my file off to a cnc shop to make the cuts. I thought that was going to be the hard part. I'm quickly finding out that I was wrong. I plan to run the system with some components I had left over from an old pc. I've been considering a new mobo, gpu and processor but I went a little crazy with the build so far and I'm a bit over my budget lol. With that said I've begun collecting roms and want to use LaunchBox/Bigbox for my front end. So far I've been able to import roms for SNES, NES, N64, PS1, Sega Genesis without issue. All of them seem to play without issue when I click on them. I'm running into a problem with I try to import arcade (mame?) roms. I have what is labeled a full set of roms, however after I import them I can't get them to play. I've tried several times, watched videos and searched the forums. I can't seem to get them to work at all. I've deleted all the roms from Launchbox and posted here for some help. Thanks Jack
  21. Looking the same type of service. I'm in the process of building a 4 player control panel and would like artwork for the cp and possibly the pedestal. Jack
