  1. Hi everyone is it possible to add an ahk script to all lightgun games that disables pointer precision and sets mouse speed to 100%, then sets it back to enabled and a specific lower speed when closing the games? If yes do you have a script? This is useful for the sinden gun. Thanks!

    Edit emulator go to running autohotkey script tab and paste this in

    Sleep 8000
    Send {F11}

    return

    then hit okay.

    Thanks a lot, setting it as Sleep 4000 made it switch before it's in focus ;)

  3. Since the change to their launcher when starting a game from LaunchBox it starts windowed, full screen can be toggled with f11, tried to add -f or --fullscreen to arguments but that doesn't do anything.

    Games open in full screen when started from Shadps4 launcher. Can someone help?

    I'm in the process of setting up a new retro gaming PC which will live under the TV.

    I got an XArcade 2TV a few weeks back and i'd like to configure both BigBox and my emulators (most are using RetroArch) so I can use this controller.   But sometimes I might want to just use a bluetooth controller on occasions where I can't be bothered to hook the arcade stick up.

    Is there any way to configure both BigBox and RetroArch to support both controllers?

    For some platforms it's easy - things like N64 and PS2 will only ever use the bluetooth controller as they need analog sticks, but for things like MAME it'd be nice to have the choice.

    Is there any way to configure two controller profiles and have RetroArch automatically choose the right one please?

    Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    In Retroarch yes, there's a setting that allows to store controller remaps per controller type, can't remember how it's called. For Bigbox I don't believe that's possible which is not ideal.

  5. Hey thanks for your reply. They all support it, the RPCS3 implementation looks very janky for now so I'll just not pursue it, not sure why model 2 and 3 crash when loading state, the save state file is created though.

    Quick question somehow related as it is about the Pause screen, is there a way not to display the achievements option when using an emulator that doesn't support them?

  6. I was trying to make those work with the Pause screen and I am positive I have set the right script and it works fine on all other emulator that support it (Retroarch, Dolphin, PCSX2, PPSSPP etc..), even when using the emulators without Launchbox, each time I try to use those features they crash the emulator, anyone able to make it work? I have an 17 13700k and an RTX3070ti if that matters.

  7. Hi yep putting the platform name manually actually works thanks.

    Regarding your question as to why create a PC Ports platform, it's because I like to have things separated as old console games ported feel like they should belong to their own section (to me at least) just like Windows 3.1 has its own for example, and I don't like the fact that they would show up both in Windows and in a playlist if I went the playlist route instead. I mainly use platforms in BigBox and not really playlists except for Collections.

  8. Man that would be a tough decision.

    I would go with Star Ocean 2 on PSX:

    1 of my all time favourites, the music is incredible for a start, just classic Enix. The combat was incredibly good , fast-paced, aggressive and real-time, but also required strategic planning.

    It is the perfect universe (quite literally) to get lost in on a deserted island with plenty of time on your hands and time you will need to beat the game 100%, as you will need to play it several times to enjoy the full cast of characters and unlock all the personal events, go through the end game optional dungeon, reach level 255 etc...

    The crafting system, the skills, the arts, everything is so deep and interesting.

    Just thinking about it now just reminds me of of that first encounter between Claude and Rena in that village on Expel 25 years ago, the eerie music, little did I know of the incredible adventure I was embarking on.

    It doesn't seem to affect mega bezels at all, honestly! I can use the new pixie mega bezel shaders and it looks just fine in fullscreen without mucking with the non windowed fullscreen height. It's more of an issue with the standard newpixiecrt and mattias shaders.

    It also happens in games on the sega model 2 emulator when trying to use reshade to apply shaders to those games. (since there is no sega model 2 core)

    Ok I don't have experience in those 😐

    I tried a few things, in retroarch at least. My desktop resolution is 2560x1440. When I change the non-windowed fullscreen height to just below or above 1440, the blown out rolling scanlines are back to normal. Could there be any reason why that would happen? I'm relatively new to all of this, don't mean to be a bother. But if y'all have any idea, I'd appreciate suggestions. Before setting up the second screen this all just worked right. 🤔

    Not sure if this is megabezel or something else but if it is play with the non-integer scale, high Res scanlines, scan line direction multiplier settings in the shader parameters in retroarch

    This started when my brother in law set up my TV as a second screen for my PC. Ever since he did that when I use, for instance, CRT new pixie, (in retroarch or in reshade on stuff like Sega Model 2 emulator) I get these wild blown up rolling scanlines all over the screen. Instead of being in the background and only terribly visible on bright backgrounds, they are everywhere at all times, even on darker colors. If I try to turn them off, they just freeze in place, still exactly as shown in the attached images. Any ideas what could have gone wrong? If I play in windowed mode it's back to normal. But the second I go full screen I'm wearing the glasses from They Live AND I SEE THEM. Any ideas what could have happened to make this sudden change?

    This was happening only on my PC, but is now happening on my TV as well.

    You will need to adjust the resolution of the emulator, or the size of the screen area (scale) or scan line Resolution.
