  1. when using ffmpeg in both bigbox and desktop, if auto play videos is turned on, some videos will begin playback immediately but about five seconds into their run time. Some videos give stuttery playback (confirmed these videos play fine in external video playback apps). Other videos will have audio start playing for a few seconds before the video fades in. The behavior is consistent in the videos I found as examples. 2. I'm experiencing a bug in adding a game in beta 2. Select "Scan for added games in platform" (in this case, it's Legend of Zelda Windwaker EU version) Process runs and finds the game. "Combine games" is selected in the import wizard Process downloads media, finishes importing Version is not added to existing Wind Waker entry, does not get added as a new entry Debug logs shows 2025-06-02 07:54:37 PM DataManager.SaveInternal started. 2025-06-02 07:54:37 PM Saving InputBindings.xml... 2025-06-02 07:54:37 PM Saving GameControllers.xml... 2025-06-02 07:54:37 PM Saving ListCache.xml... 2025-06-02 07:54:37 PM WARNING: IMPORT PROCESS: Returned game is NULL. 2025-06-02 07:54:37 PM Saving Settings.xml... 2025-06-02 07:54:37 PM Saving ImportBlacklist.xml... 2025-06-02 07:54:37 PM Saving F:\LaunchBox\Data\Platforms\Nintendo GameCube.xml...
  3. This fixed the issue for me. Thanks for the update!
  4. I had a bit more time to dig into what happened but I can't really make it out. Some games that were previously marked as completed didn't get anything put in the progress field. Some got marked as in progress. Some were marked as completed, and after closing the Edit Game Details window (without making changes or clicking okay, just the red X), they got the green checkmark icon and started appearing in my Completed Games playlist and when I filtered games by progress Completed. If I restore from a previous backup, the games affected are all marked as completed. I've attached two platform.xml files; the first one from my latest backup before the new beta (on 5-18), and a manual one I created today after installing the beta, once I realized I was having the problem. 5-18-2025 Nintendo Entertainment System.xml 5-26-2025 Nintendo Entertainment System.xml
  5. After installing the beta, LB erased the completion status of all games I had marked complete except one (I had an auto populated playlist of games marked as complete).
  6. I am running a normal windows 11 pro install. Following the instructions linked, Windows Media Player Legacy (app) was not installed. There was no Media Feature Pack. I installed the Windows Media Player Legacy (App) and videos now work in Launchbox. However, I was not having issues with VLC and I would prefer to keep legacy windows packages (and especially codec packs) from my system in the future. I'm not sure why VLC is being removed from LB support, but so far I'm not a big fan of this experience.
  7. I'm only given the option for Media Features, Windows Media Player doesn't appear in the list. The feature was enabled. I disabled it, hit okay, and restarted my computer. Then I enabled it, hit okay and restarted again. LB still shows a black box when I click on a video's play button. Here is the list of windows features on my computer (Win 11 pro 24H2, build 26100.3775):
  8. I ran the 13.21 beta 2 exe in the updates folder, but it did not prompt me with this screen again, and videos still do not work. EDIT: What WMP is LB attempting to use? I have the windows 11 Media Player app, but I do not have the classic Windows Media Player program. If I remember correctly, older installs of windows 11 comes with the classic program, but modern ones do not.
  9. Installed beta 2. The screen prompting me to install the k-lite pack appeared, but selecting either the option to install or skip gave and error saying that the operation failed. I had to crash launchbox via the task manager to get the window to go away. Now launchbox won't play any video. The thumbnail appears in the media, but when I hit play it just shows a black box. The option that used to be there to choose between vlc and windows media player is no longer in the options. Here is the debug output when I attempt to select a game and play its video:
  10. Tools > Import > Manually add game. In the Add Game dialog type Clone Hero in the name field and hit the button that says "Search for Metadata". Click on the Launchbox DB dropdown and the meta data will populate. In the Add Game dialog click "Launching" on the left. In the Application Path field, click the browse button and select your Clone Hero.exe Finally in the Add Game dialog click "Image" on the left. In the popup, click "Download media" and select which items you'd like. Finally, Click OK in the Add Game Dialog box. The game will appear under your Windows platform.
  11. Hello, great theme, been using the list view with vertical details. I'm having an issue where the "View on RetroAchievements.org" button in the vertical details panel doesn't do anything. I ran LB in debug mode but couldn't find anything that seemed to be related to the issue. Any way to fix?
